Parson was an under-rated very talented driver. He actually set a faster race lap than Brock in car 10 at Bathurst in 1987. When the HDT snapped him up in 1984, Captain Peter Jansen said I wish the HDT would stop stealing my co-drivers (the HDT had gotten Larry Perkins from Jansen two years prior)

Agreed David! One of the most severely underrated co-drivers in Bathurst history. Drove extremely well for a "once a year racer".

Out qualified Brock in 1985 Bathurst too . Which was a great achievement on used tyres.

This bloke was that good Brock had Parsons in his team so he could keep an eye on him and not get beaten by him - 100% fact - great driver
