I was told to think of the Military almost as if it was like buying a car. There's the advertised and overly talked about cars but then theres other cars that aren't talked about as much that might fit you better than you would've thought.
MSgt. Taylor Riggan, US Air Force Special Tactics Special Reconnaissance Airman with a RANGER Short Tab, MFF and Basic Parachutist Badge. How Cool 😎 is that?!🇺🇸🦅🗽💣💥🗡️

"You can do that?? You can call in a AC-130 ??? Or an Apache??" "Why yes I can.😁 That's what I do.😊" You know that felt good when NOBODY even knew your name hardly after 2 weeks and you trained your ass off to be there. Had to feel amazing.
@@timmybobby4052 regardless, they're probably having a lot more fun than you are. Heck, I would love to do some of this just for the adventure as a civilian.
I really want to do Special Reconnaissance. My father being a Marine is my biggest inspiration. I really would like to talk to someone in Special Warfare, Special Reconnaissance, which ever. I've spoken with recruiters but not someone in Special Warfare. But I honestly don't know anyone to speak with.
Dude, call a USAF recruiter, they'll put you in touch with someone you can talk to. I'm almost positive of that. Before I was recruited into a different division of service, I was going to go USAF CCT. My recruiter put me in touch with a currently serving CCT to tell me about training and the CCT pipeline, the entire deal. So, give a recruiter a call, or send them an email from a legitimate email account and they should be able to hook you up. Good luck.
During his pipeline training there was a small number of SOWT candidates compared to the CCT candidates. As in his graduation picture highlighted, there were only three SOWTs (grey beret) and the rest were CCTs (scarlet red beret)
It's possible he had more to contribute to the ODA's success than comms. That being said, we both know the operation would have failed, required a reset or assistance from another organization to continue without communications. I think he was just saying that when he was new, he was chomping at the bit to do something on his first deployment and one day, he got to prove that he had a capability they needed. He's a humble SOF dude who was likely asked to participate in this interview. I don't recall him ever claiming he was an SF guy and he doesn't need to.
The Air Farce looking desperately for a manner in which to stay relevant. The only other military I've heard of that had air force infantry and shit was the luftwaffe. Perhaps not the best model for the American military. At least this "recon operator" doesn't sound as lame as "special forces weatherman" - no shit that's actually a thing now.

Word is Riggan raped a 14 year old boy on deployment to South Korea.
I read that there are approximately 139 Special Reconnaissance operators.
