I just took a class on making macarons and I already have bottles of Lorann oils from my hard lollipop making days. So this video was helpful. But the best part of your video was your charming family doing the taste test. Really enjoyed watching them!
Oh those babies!!!! You have a beautiful family! Thanks for sharing this video.
Thank you, Surama 🥰🥰
I used the strawberry flavor for a strawberry cake I made from scratch for my son's birthday last month. It intensified the strawberry flavor in the cake and we all loved it. I'll never go back to making strawberry box cake again.
Sounds divine. I love strawberry anything!
Thank you for the review! I just ordered some of these oils and then wasn’t sure it was a good idea. Glad that they will work for macarons! You not only make beautiful desserts but also beautiful babies! ❤️
Yes! Just make sure not to put them into the shells or else it will wreck your macarons since they're oil based! Which flavours did you get? And thank you so much :)
Did you order form the website? Or from somewhere else ?
OMG that taste test was the CUTEST on the PLanET!! How your hubs interacts w/ his daughter....just the cutest...I could not stop smiling :) AND THEN she blurts out "C O F F E E" ....you know you are cool when you are under 5 years old and you are an expert coffee taste tester! Thank you so much for the vid because I was looking at this brand of the "cake batter" flavor to add to my pancakes but did not know if it would really taste like the McCormick extract that RoCkS!! Again, your fam is just the most adorable ever!
hehe---yeah she is the best. Cracks us up all the time. My husband is such a natural with the kids we are very lucky. What does the flavour "cake batter" taste like?? I always wonder with all of these different flavours.
@@SweetDreamsBakeShoppe I use the McCormick cake batter flavor and it really does taste like cake batter...more like pound cake so when I put it in pancakes it is like eating cake for breakfast but not quite all of the carbs as actual cake. I eat them w/o syrup because they are so good. :) McCormick is getting hard to find for some reason in that flavor...of course after I find my fav!
@@SweetDreamsBakeShoppe Yes I’ve heard a few people raving about cake batter extract by McCormick! Do u know where can I find it? Honestly I love there vanilla and I’ve tried lots of expensive vanillas and I always go back to McCormick ❤️
What an awesome video! Your daughter reminds me so much of my granddaughter!! Soooo much cuteness! 🥰🥰
Love your diction and enthusiasm!
Thanks for the review! I see these oils all the time at the store but couldn't trust it enough to buy it but now I change my mind
Your family is so adorable!! Thanks for doing this video as I was going to the store to try that cotton candy oil. Now, I might not!
Update to that! My sister tried one of the Macarons after they had matured for a bit (around a week in the freezer) and she said the flavour was really strong and developed! Guess it might just react differently with time??
I’ve added the Cotten candy to rice crispy treats balls and the raspberry to my strawberry cupcakes they are always a hit. Thanks for sharing.
Oh that sounds divine!
I needed this. Thank you
Helpful review, thanks.
And such an adorable child!
I'll join the others in saying thank you for this review - I see them every time I go into Michaels and have been so curious!
You are very welcome!
So cute when she got excited about the coffee Flavor
Yeah it’s almost like you can see the lightbulb go off in her head hehe
Thanks for the review. Always wanted to try these oils. 💜💜
You are so welcome! 🥰
Great video!❤️I want to try the the cotton candy and coffee one!
Coffee is always my go to flavour choice! 🥰
Omg such an adorable family 😍😍😍✨ makes me want to have my own someday ❤️
🥰💕
Thank you for the video! I have only tried these in my flavored popcorn recipes.
Ooo flavoured popcorn sounds delicious. How did they translate in those?
Thanks for sharing this video. It’s good to know that some of these oils are also good to use for icing and not just for candy making.
Yes! I forgot to mention that when I did use them in homemade lollipops it came through a lot more clearly. What type of candies have you used them in?
@@SweetDreamsBakeShoppe i just happened to come across these in bulkbarn after I saw your video. It said for candy making so I thought maybe the flavour doesn't come thru that strong in buttercream based on the results you shared on your video. I've used the emulsion one in cakes and heard also good for frosting. Maybe try that next time..might be better results..you never know..lol..Btw, love that video..and the taste testing part, you're daughter is so cute.
Yesss, was trying to say this in my comment but I got side tracked on how cute the taste testers were :)
I use these oils exclusively for candy apples and other hard candies. They are quite potent and I agree that the cotton candy is a bit hard to pin down. I used it for candy apples and ended up topping the apples with actual cotton candy for aesthetics since the flavor just was not what I expected. I wanted the flavor like this dum dum lollipops lol
Yes! Those lollipops are the ones I’m talking about. I’ll try out the emulsion next time and see if that translates a bit better in the buttercream!
Super cute taste test! Coffee!!
Hehe I love that part too! 🥰
You have an adorable family!
Thank you so much 🥰💕
The praline & cream aroma is magnificent for buttercream or fun cakes enchanted cream.
This is perfect I've got an order of cupcakes and they want the blueberry one in the frosting I've never used them before and hope the flavor works out.
I think it will! The fruit flavours seemed to be strong enough and fairly true to what the flavour is. Start off with a little though as some of the flavourings are stronger than others for sure! 🥰 good luck, Tess.
@@SweetDreamsBakeShoppe awesome thank you
Thank you for sharing
Here I will say you have a cute daughter 😊😘
Oh just saw your son too he also cute 🥰 baby
God bless your family
Thank you 💕🥰
I was just thinking earlier if you'd do a video on those oils and here we are. I have several sitting in an online cart ready to order. I want to use it more with cookies so it was interesting to see how much you needed to coax out the flavour you're after. I've picked ones that are difficult to add with the authentic flavour or ingredient. Will just have to see what happens but like the coffee one, no point in using that and jumping your cost per batch higher when you can use espresso powder or the tollhouse espresso chips. It won't be until May I try stuff out but I could give a brief verdict on using them in cookies.
I highly recommend using the baking emulsions if you’re flavouring cookies. I’ve used those before too and they work well though again, some work better than others!! Let me know how they turn out 😃
Thanks for the tip on the emulsions. I'll try those. I'm getting the english toffee and peach of the oils because I have ideas I want to try.
@@gbcookiesyqr good choices! Can’t wait to see how it goes for you!
And I really want to try your why of doing macrons
🥰
Would you recommend using LorAnn’s for flavoring cakes (eg. Homemade flavored syrups) or are they better for mixing with cream? When using commercial fruit purées (eg. La Fruitiere or similar) for cake fillings, would these oils enhance the flavor or do those commercial processed fruit fillings already contain these oils?
They're oil based so they work best with candies and creams. I find an emulsion more suitable for baking needs!
I wonder if a touch of citric acid to the lemonade would give it a that zing?
Oooo probably!
Beautiful family
Aw thank you so much!
How long do macaroons last, and how do you store them?
Today I’m going to have a video on storage and packaging actually! 🥰
I’m considering using in soft serve. Am I nuts? 😂
Gorgeous family and beautiful macarons
Thank you so much 💕💕
How cute is your family 👪
Aw thank you!
Those flavors are great for making candy apples from scratch
Ooo candy apples with those flavours sound delicious!
Can you smell these flavors? Or only taste? Thanks!!
They have a very strong smell to them!!
Could you put oils in the macarons shells?
No, unfortunately it will wreck them. Powdered flavourings are the way to go!
@@SweetDreamsBakeShoppe what about the water based ones like the singwong branded ones?
Are they sugar free? Because I can not find any info about the ingredients, thanks
You know I am not sure...I don't think so?
She cute
Thank you!
