I work my f150 to the bone it’s aluminum no problems.... but the beds of 18wheelers are also aluminum and they carry 10s of thousands of pounds... don’t knock it if you haven’t tried it. I’ve driven all the trucks and the fords by far out tow and perform the rest.

I like derelict builds but the newly painted roof, wheel wells and new wood-like aluminium floor is really out of place. Mechanically I love it especially the turbo I6. Why didn't you show how you installed that 10 inch baffle thru the 3-inch hole you drilled.?
doe....FC for this truck really good....if I refill gas for rm30 ringgit I can used for week....yeah for single cam 6 cylinder engine and ofcuz it really fast....for V8 engine big it only cost around rm60 per week.... affordable gas price but unaffordable rustic truck in here...in Malaysia this truck quite expensive.

You should go to trade school or trade college I went to the New York automotive and diesel institute and auto body college I did both the master mechanics and master auto body technicians course I didn’t do the diesel but it’s a lot of money it’s like 20 thousand dollars for 18 months minimum there’s lots of schools out there you can’t learn a trade by watching someone that person can be doing the wrong thing and have horrible work habits and it will rub off on you to get experience in any mechanical field is to have you base knowledge and then pick a specific field then go to school for it and then get a job in that field as a apprentice from a real master tech I am a Mercedes Benz BMW Lamborghini and Ferrari mechanic now for 7 years I didn’t learn by watching someone I had my base knowledge then take what I learned in school and then apply it in my own way along with the knowledge from other older mechanics there at the dealership and took what I wanted from them like I said you can have a mechanic for 50. Years and you see him and sometimes he’s been doing the wrong thing for the whole time and then you will make that mistake and it cost you later now everything is done not only by hands but by a computer new car mechanics at a dealership they aren’t real mechanics they are part changers because a computer says what parts wrong with a new car

@@Chris-yj3zm Correct - The 65 and 66 had different rectangle emblems - 65 up high (10 beside the bowtie) and the 66 (10 under the bowtie in the same square) back down on the fender where the 64's were. The 64 had the different shaped emblem - bowtie on top of a square 10. I suppose it could be a 64 body with 65 aprons (whatever those pieces behind the hood are called). I also have never seen the arrows on the hood - are those add ons? I love these old C-10's - I had a 64 for a long time!
I love a good engine build, be it a V8, V6 or inline 6. But that 292 sure isn’t it. There’s not many Chevy inline 6’s left on the road for a reason, as they are known for throwing the 1’s or 2nd connecting rods through the blocks after dropping the cam shafts. I’ve lost two Chevy in-line 6’s to that. One of those being a 292, the other a 250.
Damn, boy, that was the only ugly year Chevy truck every put out....those rims are growing on me, tho. Really like the bed kit; glad they gave the supplier.

In my opinion, there's NOTHING worse than seeing a excellent project ride and they didn't finish it by giving it a decent paint job. If you'll notice, there are NO patina color schemes on brand new 2020 vehicles. NONE. Come on fellas, paint that thing and do it justice. Do it right.
Does anyone know where I can find parts for a 1959 f100 I6? Such as some performance parts to improve the horsepower and torque by some margin. I can’t really find much so if does anyone know any websites I could find parts( headers, manifold, carburetor, etc)?
If "Clifford research" is still around , check them out( a mild sts on a fresh detailed six would help, if you get 250 Hp and 350-400tq that would be great) Try to find a 262 if you can ,I'll bet those things are rarer than Hens teeth.

Kevin McCune I agree but the value of the engine is substantial to me, my grandfather is 88 years old and I would love to get the original engine and color, and etc with it for me. Regardless if he drives it or not. With the gas mileage he got around 30 mpg with it traveling 70 miles or so when he travels from city to the country. I want to get a larger engine (V8) but I would like to keep it the way my grandfather had it. Still thank you for the ideas. And if you or anybody else has anymore suggestions, I’m open to all.

But you didn't paint the truck all the way. Rust just looks baaa patina looks like it belongs in a junk yard how can you paint the top of the truck put in a good looking bed floor and not make the body look as good as the rest of the truck.

To me it just seems lazy and it doesn't really look that good. We get it..... It's old...... 292 with 4 inch pipe, finish with 3 inch outlet. Could even split at the rear. AWESOME GUYS!!

Worries about the fuel tank in the cab, has no seat belts.
Probably only lap belts anyway. Not much to stop you from being impaled on the steering wheel or having your face smashed into the dash.
