So you're rew range is from 3500 to 4500 quite a narrow power band for the amount of boost your making. Yes. A 6 cylinder is popular in modern cars where driveability and efficiency is key. No one wants one in a weekend toy because said issues aren't that big. And I wonder if those lights are DOT approved. Since most people like to put stuff like that on and blind other motorists.
I swear new cars with auto dim just suck and still blind everyone , and then the low beams are still adjusted too high and still blind the crap out of you. The inherent problem with the blue tint to the newer lighting systems is , it takes longer for your eyes to adjust back to darkness. Blue is bad , red is better. Haha no don't go get red headlights 🤣 Haha what I mean is different colors of the spectrum affect your reaction back to dark(your night vision) and blue is actually one of the worst for that. I know what he meant but the throw-out bearing pushing against the pressure plate diaphragm/fingers disconnects the clutch. Don't want to knit pick but some viewers might not know.
Lol: it’s “nit” pick, not “knit” pick.
I wuld almost think that turbo is too big for the engine, it's on full boost @ little less than 3500 on a dyno, so on the road it's probably spools from 3500. So you're rew range is from 3500 to 4500 quite a narrow power band for the amount of boost your making.
You might get away with putting in a smaller turbo that comes oon @ 2000 rpm and don't loose much or any on top of the curve. It's a low rew engine, like a diesel.
Great build
Would love to see you guys build a cat eye halfton. Yall could really make it something!
Truck tech: has million dollar plus shop
Hosts: picks up and puts in transmission by hand
If I don't want to go to a craft store to get that stuff he said to make templates out of and beer box is made of the same stuff!! LoL 😆
It's still CAD design.

@@MrTheHillfolk nice!! Thats a good one! I can put that down on my resume and get way more calls!! ................ (I obviously am not serious about the resume part so if anyone thought that i was and were seconds away from typing out how stupid I am or how that would not work, please just don't. Fully aware of the difference in cAD with cardboard and actual CAD on a computer. But thank you for your concerns!) The legal disclaimer is now over. LoL
Well why didn't they use a trans jack
Haha no don't go get red headlights 🤣
Haha what I mean is different colors of the spectrum affect your reaction back to dark(your night vision) and blue is actually one of the worst for that.
It's all on Google.
@@MrTheHillfolk the new LED lights are slightly more annoying than the HID lights in my Silverado.
You hit on something. The big old V8s are gas hogs and a dime a dozen. This truck-rod runs a turbo straight six and earns a bunch of points for originality. Good job!
I'd like to know how this build turned out but can't find any later episodes on it. Am I just not seeing it or have they not done another one yet?
15:49 NEVER EVER EVER install a manual transmission by forcing it using the bolts
that was cringe
Never mind the cost of the truck in today's dollars, what is the total bill going to be with all this fancy stuff they added on?????
Excellent show, except the fake southern drawl...
haha dang that straight six has one of them Inner coolers
Cut bumper and make intercooler look like part of bumper ?
i question some of the things they do, specially with the brake set-up
Should have put a Barra in it
Hey guys, its those little things that are kinda boring, that no one want to film that I NEED TO SEE!
So is there a follow up episode after this one? I can't find one
how did explaining clutch operation backwards get passed editing?
I like your CAD work.
Am I the only one who saw it ?

Does this show still air on regular tv? What channel and times?
Jeremy Childress I’ve seen it late night on the paramount channel.
8:24 you can see the air getting sucked into the intake if you watch closely
I've got a 60 ford FALCON with an original motor I with ya would do something to show if it worth doing something like this
Love this Episode, Not so more the Cheesy Banter! LOL
Fel-Pro gasket boxes for mock up.
Anyone else notice the coupling almost blow off the turbo at 8:32?
What about the pilot bushing
I have a straight 6 235 where can I get it built like that?
