    One of the BEST performances by Gene I have seen. His stage presence and movements show everyone why they were a must watch. Younger people today will never understand really what KISS did to the world. I made sure mine listened and took them to a show a few years ago to enroll them into the KISS army. Never again will the world witness anything close to what these dudes did.

    People for years have been calling out Peter for his lack of skill on the kit, they should listen to this…he’s giving those drums hell!

    • @peterknicked
      @peterknicked День назад

      This is live. If you count and keep time you can tell they are off. Not tight at all. Live the rest of the band compensates for the drummer inability to be tight, which was the issue among other things when they recorded Destroyer. He cannot keep a time and he is not in the pocket. 1975 the decline of Peter and Ace had not reached the levels it did just 2-3 years later. Drugs and alcohol did that to them. So...... Stating that he is such good drummer based on an untight sloppy gig in 1975, before the worst years of addiction is a somewhat useless claim.
      They were on fire here, but that does not make him a great drummer. He just fit in a band that was not a great band when it came down to musicianship, but great entertainment. Kiss is entertainment foremost.

    I'll echo the praise for Ace and Peter...but I love Gene's bass playing here too. This riff has a groove that you've got to nail and he does it without any effort at all. Especially like how he takes it down an octave before each chorus....great detail that makes sound really heavy.

This will never work", and here it is 2011, Simmons is 62 and Paul is like 59, and they are still rock stars, still packing stadiums, still full of energy. They don't have the energy and drive as when they were 25, they are not starving anymore, they are friggin old man, but they still rock for their age. Still the best show on the planet!

    From the second LP, Hotter Than Hell. KISS was still struggling during this time and trying to get noticed. I heard this live for the first time on the Revenge tour in October 1992 when they performed at the Carolina Coliseum in Columbia, SC. I guess so. Thing is I was born in the very late 80s, I wasn't around back then. I mainly grew up on the gangsta rap and 90s pop stuff. But lookin at rock and roll back in those days makes me think that this stuff is way cooler and has more realism to it, than most of the crap we hear today.

    The hottest band in the world, Kiss‼︎‼︎‼︎

    As just a fan I never knew any better, I always thought Peter Criss ws pretty good. I also somehow kind of realized he had more of a light jazz style like you guys mentioned. To me he'll always be Kiss's drummer. Thx!
