The sign of an artistic master is making others believe that what you do is easy, but anyone who has determinedly held a vision and a paintbrush, knows full well the immense talent you have. Paint on, Sir! Such a pleasure to watch you create!

You are right JT Paar. Michael makes it look effortless but it takes years and special talent to achieve such beautiful results. My painting has improved greatly since following him but I will never paint like him!!

I want you to be encouraged Mr. Smith. Looking at all of these post show how your talent has touched so many. Your talent and presentation has inspired me. Putting your art out there is as personal as it gets and can be a emotional roller coaster. I hope your art work sells as quickly as you can produce it. To be selfish on my part, I still hope you will have time to share your knowledge with us. Thank you for the time you have already given.

My dream is to be able to achieve your level of precision when painting. Your confidence when mixing shows in the completed painting, the way you brush the paint across the canvas can seem almost careless at times (or perhaps carefree is the word?) but when all is said and done, you're left with a piece of art most people could only ever dream of making. Thank you for having this channel! I'll be studying you through these videos as long as you upload.

Great to see the smaller size painting being showcased. People bang on and on about larger work but a well crafted 7" x5" or sympathetically detailed 8" x 6" , framed well , can turn just as many heads. And open some wallets too !. Giffgaff work Michael.

Sort of like on a nice warm and lazy summer day, What was so compelling about it was the background music of the waves washing in upon the shore, to mesmerize the mind into believing your were actually on that shore. It was looking, and sounding so realistic, that I was expecting a small single masted sailboat to arrive out there towards the horizon, (or at least you to paint one there). Anyway it kept drawing my eyes out toward the horizon, and wondering what was just beyond the visual line of sight of that horizon. And that's all an artist can wish for. - Keep up the good work. Thanks, Michael.

Gorgeous Michael - - -one thing you might add, try a glaze with a little bit of burnt umber and or burnt sienna and with horizontal strokes, next to the foam and a flat brush, skim over the sand to make the sand look wet near those receding or on coming foam edges. The sand will show through it but look wet. Don't apply to the whole of the sand, just in sweeps near the foam. You can also try layers of spattering to achieve sand and any slightly bigger bits can be little sea pebbles- - -just a thought.

Thank you Micheal for your amazing art work! Beautiful waves, I can almost hear the sea. Worked 2 blocked from the Monterey Wharf in California long ago. Now I know how to paint trees as realistically imitating your way. What would be my desire to be shown how to paint?? How you paint palm trees, different types of pine trees. The rest of the trees I believe have been covered. I am so looking forward to your web painting school. I will be one of your students for sure!
