    I wonder if you ever get tired with being told how amazing you are... but to be more specific, thank you for the generosity with which you detail how you create your art. So many painting tutorials seem to promise that, but it would seem the camera gets turned off in the parts the artist actually lays down their own brand of magic. You don't. That makes you a rare bird for one more reason. Thanks SO much.

    Michael James Smith, I wish my dad was still alive. He passed at 86 but was so shart and talented. He would love your paintings as I do. My dad was an artist on the side , also did wood burnings, stained glass, built things from wood, and just about anything you can imagine. I'm a proud daughter but he was very good. your art is so real life I can't believe it. Thank you for sharing your talent from God.

    I've been watercolour painting landscapes for a couple of years. Today I went and bought, oils, brushes, linseed oil, turps and canvas boards, and made my first attempt. I hold you entirely responsible. Love your stuff!

    I wish I could see a tutorial of a total scene , sky, trees, river , rocks, grass etc. as a whole and not broken up into very small sections. You are awesome!!!

    • @shibsmaths3258
      @shibsmaths3258 4 года назад +1

      You could learn from the small sections and paint a landscape urself including all in one painting. I have also seen his different tutorials and I'm planning to bring everything together in a single painting and thinking how to correctly place the rocks, trees and river

    This style of painting Michael reminds me of some of the old masters paintings done in the 1870's I just love it, this is real art.

Your tutorials are the only one I watch carefully, without rewind, from bare begining, to the end. Thank you. I will not even comment your artistic capabilities, that's really not necessary.

    I really appreciate your videos as I find it quite frustrating to work out where I'm going wrong or even, how to start a painting, especially as a beginner. There are very few who are willing to share so much guidance and technique for free. I will keep a keen eye on your website as I think the content will be just what I need in order to continue this endeavour. Thank you!

    Greetings from Seattle, Washington!
    Well, Mr. Smith, you’ve managed to trump all other instructional videos on RUclips, as far as I’m concerned. Isn’t it amazing to think that I’m sitting in my home, across the globe, watching your lessons on my favorite subject of landscape, water reflection, tree details, lighting and all aspects of nature. All possible due to you’re gift of sharing them with the world!
    Thank you for inviting us into your studio and for teaching me the value of old, beat-up paint brushes and keeping it real with humor!
    You’re a treasure!

    Someone may have already ask you this question so please forgive the redundancy. Who taught you to paint and how long have you been painting? Or are you self-taught? Also, thank you so kindly for making these videos, I learn so much from you! .... And your demeanor is so calm that it makes watching them a joy.

It's weird because I started watching Bob Ross, the simple and easy, yet effective way of painting painting that spiked my interest, but I want to put my soul and detail into it like your work. I am inspired from your art and many others. Thank you for showing me, there is more work for the better outcome. ITS WORTH IT to create beauty like this, Thanks man.
