    Hi from New Zealand. Great painting, you've inspired me to have a go myself (at the young age of 67).

      I’m really glad to hear that! Don’t worry too much about the colours you choose, just practice with pressure when it comes to the knife! All the very best :)

    Very nice ! I like painting on wood panels but often buy small cheap primed canvas panels and give them one coat of shellac for studies/experiments.

    You said you don’t like to use much texture but I feel this example has a lot of texture, no?
    I started watching because I’m specifically interested in painting with texture and using pallet knife
    Thanks for sharing. It’s beautiful.

      Hey, thanks for watching! Yeah, it depends on the piece and my mood and of course what I want to made more textured. Thanks a lot :)

    Loved this video, thank you for sharing. I missed what color paint you had at the top righthand corner. Some kind of turquoise?

    • @seanfear15
      @seanfear15  11 месяцев назад

      Thank you so much! Ultramarine blue but colbalt turquoise most probably made his way in there.

    • @reneekroyer5104

      Yes, that was it -- cobalt turquoise. I have never heard of that color before. I'll have to check it out. I love every shade of blue/turquoise there is. Thank you. @@seanfear15

    Are you loading up your knife with a lot of paint and then lightly touching the surface of the paper

    • @seanfear15

    What knives are favorites to paint with?

    • @seanfear15
      @seanfear15  11 месяцев назад

      It depends on the size of the surface, most of the time, I like to use several different sizes ranging from small to large.

    All a bit crude for me. Plastering is better on bricks.Nodetails in seascapes try a few cityscapes or animals.
