    Even though this is an older video and photoshop has changed a LOT, this was still helpful in 2024. Fortunately filters and masks have stayed pretty consistent!

    Great video. Not too sure about the choices of merging the layers though. Isn't it better to just get into the habit of having them separated, so that you can adjust individual things later on, say in a bigger project?

      Yes, why not. I personally like to seal the deal because I find that if I don't merge I will obsess over perfection. Nothing wrong with keeping the layers. :) Just a personal preference. I also do not tend to save the Photoshop file or TIF files unless it is a project for someone else, or like you said, bigger projects. For day to day social media stuff I don't bother.
