Yes, men can experience postpartum depression (PPD). A meta-analysis of international studies found that about 10% of fathers experience PPD during the perinatal period, with the highest rate occurring within 3 to 6 months after birth. PPD can develop over a year, rather than four weeks postpartum, and may present differently in men than in women. For example, men may exhibit more irritability, indecisiveness, and restricted range of emotion. Other symptoms of PPD in fathers include: Fatigue Changes in sleep or appetite Fewer outwardly emotional expressions, such as crying Reluctance to talk about their depression Feeling disconnected
TJ does explain the challenges and this one was no exception. My suggestion is to actually pay attention to his instructions and you won't be surprised by the winner results. These were the instructions regarding the water/time element: "After you fill up the tube with all your bags, you must shut off the valve to stop your time. It's all about the combination of remaining water and time. The team to save the most water the fastest will win...... Didn't realize we were watching licensed psychologists with your comments on postpartum depression. Leroy says he never thought men could get it and yet he did. Do you guys think he self diagnosed? You must to dismiss what he called it so easily. Do some research before spouting off. I did some after this and fathers do get it. Curious if there will be an apology next episode to show some semblance of responsibility for your comments.
It is incredibly insensitive for you to speak about Leroy’s postpartum. Just because you haven’t experience something doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist And the fact that y’all spoke about it this way is the same reason men haven’t been bringing the subject up . Y’all should be ashamed of yourselves.
I had to leave at this point, because it was already overly judgmental instead of a review and little opinions here and there, but this was too much. Yes, his postpartum will not be the same as a woman’s but it doesn’t mean it does not exist and he needs help to talk about it. She called laurel over negative and became very negative about something positive in Leroy seeking help.
I also had not heard of postpartum depression in men either, but I’m very happy to see Leroy bring it up. I think it needs to be said that we should all be careful in being so dismissive. Men need support in their struggles as well and it’s great to have an example for others to relate to. It’s unfair to speak on something that we don’t know about, I was disappointed to see Pam be so dismissive. I’m hoping we can all use this as an excuse to learn more about this issue.
Brandon's last appearance was on Free Agents which was filmed in 2014 and All Stars 4 was filmed from Dec 22-maybe February 23. So at the time of filming in the house, it had been 8 years. Who knows when the confessionals were filmed since it was in production for 16 months.
I think the emlimination was showed in order, Brandon did the balls 1 by 1 and Leroy gathered all the balls in the middle. When Brandon had one ball left, Leroy had all the balls in the middle, I think it was as close as they made it seem. But who knows.
Guys if your goal is to win the challenge it isn't to carry the best player to the end and lose to them. Cara is known to be the best. Nobody wants to run a final with her. So yes you should want her gone before the final. You guys sound like you happy to come in 2nd or 3rd. Name of the challenge remove your hardest competition and face off against lesser competitors. Like a flora,I love some Cara glad she back but yall perspective is protect Cara at all costs and she won't come after u lol kinda warped logic if u ask me.
Cara is definitely arguably in top 5 of female competitors, but she cracks under pressure too easily to be considered /the/ best. Laurel is, or at least was back when she was actively on the show, above her in basically every aspect of this competition, so why she's not a target is strange. Maybe it's because Cara is scarier to face in elimination just based off her win odds, but Laurel is scarier to face in a position of power? It may be a "scared" move, but it's not a bad move to try to get out who you think could beat you in the final, but that's not what Kam is claiming her motive is. In fact she is actively trying to sway the narrative that she is not worried about Cara beating her in the final, even though she obviously is.
Leroy is in my top favorite cast mates, but I would have preferred Brandon to win. Mainly since it has been so long since he was last on, but he was also one of my favorites the seasons he was on, especially Cutthroat. Once they showed his family call, I already knew he was gonna lose. Brandon performed at least averagely in dailies, but he definitely performed better in eliminations. But Leroy also wins most his eliminations, I genuinely don't understand how he keeps coming in last this season cuz he's never been bad at most dailies.
14:35 the word yall are looking for is NAIVE lol I love laurel but ima need her to realize what kind of person nicole is she’s a damn doctor like cmon Laurel how can you not see she’s playing you girl you are too smart for this
The only strategy they showed Derek have was storing the bags in his shirt. At least according to the edit, no one before him had done that. I thought the confessional edits were weird too, especially Kefla's cuz he was definitely monotone saying Derek would possibly win the final 😅. Maybe he is just easy to work with production so they're trying to finally give him some praise, or maybe he's getting the Emanuel edit 😂
Pam it's funny that you said Cara vs Cara because there used to be a Cara (Care-a) in the early seasons. That's why for the first handful of seasons she was on, Cara kept getting referred to as Care-a. Then they added her middle name in to help separate their identity. Just like how Bananas was originally referred to as John, then Johnny, then Johnny Bananas, then when Johnny Reilly was added, his actual name was just dropped and he went fully by Bananas. I wonder what they're gonna do if Cory and Corey are on the same season 😅 ( wait I forgot about Alyssa L and Alyssa R, so they'd probably just do the same)
In the argument, I am definitely on Cara's side. I think Kam's reaction does mainly have to do with 2 things, 1) her heightened emotions from her pregnancy and also the environment and 2) her fear of Cara beating her in the final. She's presenting herself as Killa Kam (in ego and also the reality tv persona) so of course she's not gonna admit that so she really is just doubling down. Brandon has since confirmed that Cara really was the last vote and it wasn't just edited that way, so Kam saying she felt like Cara was trying to tie the vote was really just her reaching for a justification. However, even though I agree with Cara's side, she was in the wrong for how she adressed the situation. Like if you're genuinely trying to resolve an issue with a friend, being passive aggressive and provoking is a shit move and not beneficial. Like what do you mean "ofc you're gonna bring up the vote" when obviously thats where the issue stemmed from and you are in there to talk about the issue?
There’s something Cara said in this episode recap and in one of the previous episodes of her confessional about Rachel that caught my attention. In one of the previous episodes, Cara said and I quote “she earned her star, I want to protect her, we’re gonna look out for each other”. Then in the recap she did said “after I kept my promise to star holder Rachel safe from elimination”. Also, I read one of Rachel’s interviews after she was eliminated, and I found something interesting that clearly didn’t get shown that explains some things. Rachel revealed that she made a deal with Cara and Laurel for them to be the women finalists in hoping a woman would win the final since she thinks they’re the strongest women there to make it happen. With all that said, it makes me see that Cara was doing more than just protecting her star than she was leading on, but she also was working with Rachel on the low that clearly Kam didn’t know about until after her convo with Nicole. She was playing sides but got caught up in the process and ultimately shown she had Rachel’s back more than Kam’s.
While I was watching the liquid go-karts I pictured you all saying that you had no clue how the challenge worked - or that was me projecting because I was confused! And Nicole/Laurel is a total disaster!
Brandon literally said last episode that Cara is one of those friends that even if you don't see them in a long time, you can immediately go back to being friends (not sure if I got the wording right but ppl should know what I'm referring to). So how he's gonna throw we haven't to each other in 8 yrs BS after saying that!! Smh 🙄😒 it's a two way street when it comes to communication!!!
He said he has reached out to her over the years but she would never respond. So it was indeed one sided on his part. But since then he said she been contacting him and they’re good now
Sorry but I am on Kam . S side Cara has never ever been a team player and she is only friends with people during the challenge and they don’t. Exhibit in the real world. The challenge is not summer camp with summer stylefriends.
I wouldn't attribute racism to what can be explained with how poorly they pay attention to things on the show such challenges and the explanations of how they work by TJ. I can see them just not picking up on the proper pronunciation of Kefla's name.

I dont think you guys need to apologize for spoilers ❤ its an aftershow, people should know what they are tuning into

They actually went 3 rounds. Brandon won the first one, Leroy won the last 2.
damn why don't they every show the multiple rounds.
@@Cjohnson725 IMO this was not a very entertaining elimination and adding extra time to it would of made it unbearably boring even though Leroy won.

What y’all were describing laurel is submissive. She’s super submissive in her relationships, like a lot of people with a Domineering personality.
What internet do u use Pam it goes in and out volume wise .
Do you think bring a triplet has affected why Nicole needs so much attention? If she received so much as a unit, and she’s lost as an individual?
Yes

Dan: "Nicole needs someone there to make her feel whole"
I cackled.
Sorry my mind is 10 years old sometimes😂

Ahh exiting now. Due to PPD comments by these two!!! 18:27

It's pronounced key-fla. At this point it's sounding deliberate, which feels a bit racist.
I wouldn't attribute racism to what can be explained with how poorly they pay attention to things on the show such challenges and the explanations of how they work by TJ. I can see them just not picking up on the proper pronunciation of Kefla's name.
