I'm still coming down from the RUSH Time Machine stop in Tampa ... What a great show ! Passion & Precision ! Each show in someway get’s better than their last … Great job on the vids !!! Nice to reflect back . I only took pics !
@blimpus camera is a Panasonic ZS7. Fantastic point and shoot. I only wish I had remembered to bring my spare battery for this show - 2nd friggen row and the battery died during Neil's solo. ARGH!
@blimpus though originally from the Socal area I'm now living in New England, but I flew out to LA for those shows and to see family/friends and did the Denver shows then flew home. My sis and a friend did the Vegas show and then drove out to Red Rocks and I met them there. I've seen Rush 3 times at Red Rocks. I flew out for the June 2008 show on the SnA tour (twice actually since the original date was canceled!).
We were wondering if you live here in California and traveled to Red Rocks for the shows? Have you been there before? We have always wanted to go to a show there but the 2 times we have visited were in the winter- too late for shows. We have gone and toured Red Rocks and stood on the stage....such an awesome place!!!! Colorado is so beautiful!
@MickAv8r Excellent point on getting center seats. While RR is a beautiful venue the layout is horrible. I too was really annoyed by the constant sea of traffic during the show. Did these people come to see one of greatest bands ever or to drink cheap swill and piss every 10 minutes??? Sad to say I opted out on Rush the following summer for their time machine tour because it was at RR again. Probably the first time in over 20 years I missed a Rush concert.
Gotta say I'm surprised RR has such a crummy layout. That looks more like 10-15th row compared to the venues I've seen them at. The last few shows I was 2nd, 3rd and 5th (all on Alex's side for some reason) and it is like he is literally right on top of you. First concerts (of any band) I was near that close, le alone my all-time favorite band ... extreme chills when they walked out on stage and I was that close.
@TimmyCrackCorn You guys who think that RedRocks layout sucks are definitely wrong, but I suppose it is a matter of opinion. 40th row at red rocks has unobstructed view of the stage because of the incline. 40th row at MSG, or any other arena for that matter, will be further from the stage with more heads and hands and signs (and cameras). I have seen Rush 56 times since 9/17/84, in MANY arenas. Red Rocks does Rock.. one of the best..
cont... Though I STRONGLY suggest you spend the money and do whatever it takes to get center seats. The way the place is designed if you are not in the dead center you will have a constant stream of people going by you to get beer or hit the head. It gets VERY annoying very quickly as it amplifies the douchebag factor. ie you'll have that one asshole who can't sit still and enjoy the show for more than 4.3 minutes and is constantly brushing past to get another beer or whatever.
Man that damn drum kit is just shining and on point. I hope they kept that thing exactly like that and put it in the damn Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
So awesome to see Neil smile at that kid on stage, he's a good-hearted dude. He nailed the drum break too (not surprising)
xhamlin Besides Neil being a DRUM GOD!!! HE TRULY IS JUST A SUPER GREAT HUMAN BEING!!!!🤙🤘🤙🤘🤙🤘🤙🤘

u can tell you're a TRUE Rush fan. You zoom in on key parts
yea he did
I love RASH
i figured thats what you were shooting with.
we use the zs3 and man these cams cannot be beat.
2:23... is Neil using traditional grip?
He switches between traditional & matched often
The Rash shirt just cracks me up.
@RushFan413 looks like it, for that solo/bridge section
Thumbs up if you would give an arm and a leg for those seats
@jesse1291 nope. Standard cameras for the show. The cam on the track in front of the stage is at every show. And the girl operating it is a cutie ;)
I wish Alex would bring out that PRS more often!
