I’ve found feeling comfortable with both is ideal.
Tracking calories meticulously is tedious if you feel like you have to do it but I’ve had seasons of life where that extra level of effort is like the weight loss placebo. For me, it boosts my self belief and gives a ripple effect into the rest of life. I know it sounds kind of bogus but it has made a difference to me. Wield not tracking or tracking to ur advantage 🙏🏻

Great vid, the “keep it simple & basic” is stellar advice. I’m 59-Years old this month with single-digit body fat and I eat steak or grass-fed ground beef daily with greens and about 100- 150 grams of carbs like blueberries, watermelon, an occasional slice or 2 of rye bread from a Jewish bakery and 6-oz pasta rarely. No sugar, no refined carbs but Keto ice cream & protein bars are all the sweetness I need....oh, and lift heavy 3-times a week, moderate the other 2-3 workout days ☝🏻💯

I actually put all that through Cronometer (obviously guessed some of the measurements) an it came out at 2,661 calories (211g Protein, 214g Carbs, 103g Fat). Obviously I could be way off with my portions as only went off eye guesses, but that gives an idea,, Lacking in Vitamin A, E, calcium, Iodine (10%!), Magnesium and Potassium.... The rest were good.

Do you ever go in a caloric surplus? Or is it possible to gain mass at maintenance? I've personally been doing IF for a while now but am trying to put on size and mass so I've been eating more during my feed window.
You don't need a surplus but it will surely help . You can even build muscle at a deficit

Trust me 22 years of overhead pressing can do some damage to those shoulders. Had multiple physical therapists tell me to stop. I found hammer strength or dumbbell to be better for me.

Hey Greg, I've recently realized that my side delts havnt been growing much and are really lagging. My lateral raises always go straight to my traps which are way to big and strong and just overpower my side delts and I never feel the burn in shoulders. Do you have any tips. Thanks a bunch!
Try leaning forward a little and pointing your pinkies upwards. Also lower the weight and make sure you’re not swinging it up but rather almost pulling it up with your delts
