Shiny Vulpix in Pokemon Silver after only 119 random encounters (Fire Monotype #2)

Finally. That's the word. Only 119 encounters on the 9th phase, Shiny Vulpix finally appeared. This hunt has dominated my schedule for the past 6 months. I never even began to imagine how many phases this would take. Despite it being 37.5% with a repel trick, I ended up finding 8 Shiny Pidgey in a row. Nine phases for Ninetales though...
Sometimes RNG is cruel but it's so worth it. Both of these shinies are incredible and I'm super glad to finally add them to my collection. I feel like Ninetales is a shiny/Pokemon that people just love overall. It's so elegant looking and really captures that Gen 1 nostalgia for me. I always used to use it on my team as a kid so it's nice to have one in Silver for my Fire Monotype challenge.
Eevee is up next. Hopefully that's a little shorter...
