With the odd egg I found a shiny with 9 soft resets.

@@CulturedVibes it's not a glitch, in Crystal the guy from the Day Care gives you an egg which contains one of the new baby Pokémon (Magby, Elekid, Cleffa, Igglybuff, Tyrogue, Pichu, Smoochum), and this egg has 14% chance of being shiny (1/64)

Shiny Pokeman runs are so entertaining keep it up. Can't wait for part two!
Entertaining to watch and a pain to create. My current Crystal team is 6 Shinies and I played on emulator, still had to invest around 20 hours real time into getting those 6 shinies, despite thousands of resets being at 10x the normal speed and autofire for skipping dialogues in the reset circles. This would easily be 500 hours or more on a physical game boy. And in my defense - I don't have 100 dollars to buy a secondhand crystal game (again - after owning one as a child) and shinies in gen 2 are just for fun, since their stats are not really good.

I'm sure a lot of ppl have mentioned this, but the Odd Egg Pokeman is a pretty high chance of being shiny and can be an easy soft reset [save before you get the egg] and can be kinda nice to have anyway. i got a shiny pichu from mine when I played :]

Long ago when Crystal was new and required a two hour wait in the Fred Meyer's line 3 weeks after it came out. A year or so passed after launch I was traversing Silver Cave for goodies to loot as I surfed I encountered a Pokémon a level 51 Golduck that was a random shiny the first I ever saw. I was confused, stumped, bewildered at what I saw. I caught it and was still puzzled at what it was
I never found any random shinies in gen 2. My first random shiny was a gen 3 zigzagoon. It was the very first Pokemon I encountered right after getting Pokeballs. I hadn't looked up any of the new Pokémon before playing the games and didn't end up using it on my team, so I didn't even notice it was shiny until I was just about to reach victory road. So glad I didn't run away from that encounter.
@@user-xu1ce4ri4h yes gen 3 Emerald found a random shiny Tailow. The chances of shines in the early gens was just very abysmal
My first shiny was a shiny pinsir in gen2. It's still my favorite mon today

Level 7 Pidgeotto can be legally caught in GSC, specifically on Route 2 in Kanto. Also, in Yellow, level 9 Pidgeotto can appear in Viridian Forest.
So there are legal ways to obtain an underleveled Pidgeotto, but not until much later in the game for the player.

Years ago, like well over a decade ago, I bought an old copy of silver from a yard sale for like $3, eventually the save battery ran out before I had the chance to ever play the game on my own, I just kinda fooled around on the old owners save. Then one day, I decided to try and play through all of silver without turning off my game boy, only to randomly get a shiny Cyndaquil as my starter. For whatever reason, I tried saving only for it to fail. Never forget that little sparkling guy
Tragedy. My silver also was unable to save. Sooooo frustrating! You shouldve traded him off there onto a different game. 😢 rip shiny cynda

I just started shiny hunting the other day was baffled that the shiny colors are completely different when transfered over to Pokemon stadium 2 like kingdra was a nice purple in the GBC and in N64 it's like a dark navy blue with a tan tummy lol

I think the reason Faulkner and lance have low leveled evolved Pokémon is because there Pokémon got exposed to the radio signal from lake of rage that caused Pokémon to evolve
But why are the most pokemon are in that case not evolved
I love this shiny pokeman run, it's really funny just watching you breeze through the first two gyms with just quilava.

as we all know, shiny pokeman's stats are better than their non-shiny counterparts
@@TionOriginal that's false,there's no difference from gen 3 onwards,and only some difference regarding dvs in second gen,which I think only applies to some cases.

The Cyndaquil line's shiny colors looked a lot better in gen 2 before they got changed, I love the purple flame...i really dont like how they changed it to the blue part turning to brown.
Struggling in almost 8000 resets for a pokeman is really a hell salute to you because you have a patience to do that

Edit: did you ever pick up the odd egg from the daycare? In (Non-Japanese) Crystal it has a 14% chance of being shiny.
I got shiny pichu on the first or second egg but I’ve spent hours at sudowudo and I’m still here doing bug contests when I can and just soft resetting at sudo

I'm currently doing a shiny only run in Crystal Clear yes the prize and starter Pokemon have the 1/1015 chance but it seems like a fun challenge. My starter is a Shuckle.
I really hope Bellsprout makes it into gen 9. That’s one of my favorite Pokémon lines.

In non Japanese copies of pokeman crystal, get the odd egg from the day care man and it has a 14% chance of being shiny. Cleffa, igglybuff, smoochum, elekid, magby, tyroge, and pichu are available from odd egg... Soft reset for your choice of a free shiny baby gift pokemon. Most can learn elemental punches too! Great video

Considering you caught a shiny Bellsprout to use cut. Why didn’t the same rule apply for the Lake of Rage? (using surf to encounter the Shiny Gyarados).
Am i the only one who didnt have trouble with whitney, i only used my croconaw which was my only pokemon and still is.
