Time for some logic behind some of these movepool choices. Grimmsnarl/Growlithe: Snarl and Growl, as with nearly all sound based moves, work by being a sudden change in the disposition of the pokemon using it. Grimmsnarl as the name implies is nearly always snarling meaning it loses out on being an unexpected sudden change. Similarly Growlithe, being in a constant growl, would have its growl ultimately ineffective. Swablu: with body slam despite its weight being equal to a pineapple: Coconuts only weigh about 1.4 KG and by them falling kill roughly 150 humans per year. Aggron: These bad bois just lay on their back and use their Iron Tails like trolling motors. So, 10/10 that is a good boat. Revavarroom: Based on their design the weight is mainly in the back. If one were to attempt a high speed U-turn, centripetal force dictates that the back would not be able to turn as sharply causing it to go spinning out. High-Horsepower: Every pokemon mentioned has part of their design that can leave a horseshoe shape imprint on its target. Camerupt: Clouds form via water vapor sticking to dust particles in the atmosphere, volcanic erupts tend to send a lot of dust into the atmosphere. Ho-oh: Granted the legendary beasts great power on being revived. Revival Blessing only brings back one pokemon at half health. Asking for a god-like being easily capable of resurrecting someone stronger than they have ever been too, try CPR instead would be extremely insulting.
@@Straven93Exactly, Sacred Ash's existence as an item in pokemon which Ho-Oh holds when being caught between generation 2~7 & fully revives and heals your entire party is reason enough for Ho-Oh to not need a much inferior form of revival. Wooper can learn both ice punch and dynamic punch by TM in gen two. It can also learn Rock smash in gen 3/4 by HM and gen 5 by TM
4:41 thank you so much, calling the magnificent sport "soccer" is a crime
Vullaby's dex info says that it can't fly yet it can learn the HM Fly.
forgot dugtrio can learn sucker punch without arms
It's japanese name is just "surprise attack". Really has nothing to do with punching. Kinda like the Growlithe and Grimmsnarl thing, those aren't their original names.
Fun fact: Rain dance increases the accuracy of Electric attacks to 100%.
That's why pretty much every electric type learns it. Rain dance and thunder
Only thunder not other electric moves
Of course Fearow can't learn Brave Bird, otherwise it would be called Braveow.
Kyurem is a big Ice type legendary pokemon with arms and hands(At least in it's Blacke Kyurem form)but can't learn Ice punch while Gastly and Wooper a small pokemon that don't have arms and hands can learn Ice punch
Well it can’t learn BRAVE bird cause it’s a FEARrow
He mentioned Diglett but didn’t bring up that it learns Scratch and Sucker Punch?!
Its a mole
Diglett has claws underneath
Sucker punch is not a punch
Its Japanese name is simply "surprise attack", so diglett/dugtrio just do their whole thing
Appear from an unexpected place in the ground
Fearow not learning brave bird makes perfect sense
Look at the name Fear-ow
He isnt a brave bird, hes a coward
Its even better when some pokemon can learn moves in the anime but not games.
Munchlax giga impact, ir nuzleaf grasswhistle.
ho oh having revival blessing makes so much sense and it really should have it
Palkia can't learn Scald. It's not just in gen 9 either, it couldn't learn it in gens 5-8 when every water type (other than itself and Lapras) under the sun learned Scald.
Gastly... The ghost pokemon that is made out of poisonous gas and it's dex entry says it kills it's prey by enveloping them in it's poisonous gas body... can't... learn... POISON GAS but you know what it can learn? Ice punch, thunder punch and fire punch... without arms!
4:22 RUclipsr Jimothy Cool just hosted a tournament on Showdown of only horse Pokemon. It was actually amazing, he just posted the video yesterday. I got to watch it live!
also, iirc, it's Ho-oh's ash that revives pokemon, not Ho-oh itself. I'm 90% sure that's where the revival item Sacred Ash comes from.
I never ever understood why zubat learns brave bird or why rapidash can't learn blaze kick
LMAO Cinderace not a real footballer 😂😂😂
Trainer:Rampardos use Skull Bash
(Rampardos can’t learn Skull Bash)
Trainer:What do you mean he uses his Skull to bash things and Cranidos is from the Skull Fossil so how come he can learn Zen Headbutt, Head Smash and Headbutt but not Skull Bash?
