The explanation is pretty simple. A normal bomb converts Chemical Potential Energy into a high amount of Thermal Energy. A Rod From God does the same thing but uses Gravitational Potential Energy instead.
Answer me this... Why would lions attack a sunflower seed? They are carnivores. They would not expend energy to attack a plant, because it gives them no usable nutrients... Additionally, if the plant started firing solar rays at them, they would STILL not attack it, and would instead opt to just _leave_ or move away from it. Lions aren't mindless killers, survival is their first priority. Like, if a plant started shooting stuff at you, what would YOU do? Probably run away from it. I doubt most people's first instinct would be to get closer and attack it. Not to mention, _Budew_ is ALSO a super weak grass-type Baby Pokemon... Yet it is also a _poison type._ Poisonous plants can kill any lion easily. So yes, even the weakest Pokemon would be able to take on 1 billion lions.
Well why would a happiny hurt a lion. They are said to mimic Chansey. And Chansey is probably one of the most morally good Pokémon ever. So I doubt happiny would win against a lion.

The whole lion vs Pokemon debate is like if people argue that 1 billion lions could defeat the Z-Fighters. "Iunno, Bruce Lee wouldn't be able to beat a lion, so how is Krillin going to be able to if he's shorter and lighter?" or "Bergamo is a wolf, which are a lot smaller than lions, so each lion would have to be stronger than Bergamo."
Something additional to note, the Magikarp one. The mere act of leaping into the air that high. Would obliterate anything in front of it. Including a lion trying to pounce. Pokémon can likely canonically handle that. A lion which is bound by real world physics not so much.
Not surprised, I always thought of pokemon as irl animals with powers. It's like pairing humans vs superheroes. Also they're just impossible. You can't have an irl turtle that can squirt infinite water, or as much water as they show in pokemon. Same with all the elements

Magicarp: See, the first thing to me that I think of when the question gets brought up is "lions should be normal type". Normal type basically are just normal animals, so anything without a power should be one. Personally, I think a magicarp would lose to a lion, but since magicarps are the unevolved forms it doesn't matter much. Speaking of losing to lions, we have a lot of the basic bug and normal types. I'm going to treat lions basically like Persian, so anything a persion or purely normal type Pyroar could clap a lion could. Anyways, boucecarp is real. ruclips.net/video/y-PArgnvqQ4/видео.html Sunkern: Its abiltiies require harsh sunlight, so are weather depenant. This means basically needs to be high daytime in the savanah. So a night or dusk battle . . . Additionally, it is slow. Lions almost certainly have a better speed stat, so would probably outspeed and 1hko it. If not, a non sunny day solar beam would make a 2hko super likely. As for the solar beam itself, since pokemon do damage modified by their stats, this is like a flashlight that is solar powered. Gonna turn the lions a bit darker on their fur, but probably wouldn't even OHKO them. Snom: the actual reason is that even lions know snom is too cute to kill. Bug buzz might irritate the lions into a rage, worsening the situation if they aren't incapacitated. Cosmog: Lions can't touch it since it can teleport and float. But the wormholes seem like a bad idea. They rely on UBs being near where it opens on the other side, but more importantly the UBs that come through aren't obligated to fight the lion. Some might just run into the wider world, and some might even be a threat to Cosmog. Much more useful would probably be calling on daddy and mommy Solgaleo and Lunala. And do I even need to mention why a Cosmog summoning THE (one and only) Necrozma would suck for it. That being has no interest in lions, but does want the light from the Cosmog. Wishiwashi: Personally I would let it school, but even alone those stats are innaccurate. They actually have two extra zeros in each category. Happiny: Someone check that girl for drugs, she 100% is not natty.
To be fair, lions are lions, they don't exactly have a type, unless what's being implied is that humans have a type.. Making us also pokemon. So, lions ain't Pokemon. Interesting tho.
@@Forever-le3zb I would imply humans should, usually, be normal. Some martial artists should be fighting. Most importantly many humans in Pokémon are shown to be real psychics. From notable characters like Sabrina to even some basic trainer battle npcs. To me normal is the generic type, so if something has no special attribute it’s normal. I mean we have some Pokémon that are pretty literal (rat and notably the Pidove line. I’m pretty sure I’ve eaten an Unfezant). I also don’t believe typing has to be technically exclusive to Pokémon. I would argue even a literal could be considered “steel” type. But that’s an inanimate object so not being poisoned wouldn’t matter. I say this because a lot of type area literal physics attributes. Rock types are rocks. Of course some are mostly the powers, like electric types (in most cases)
The issue is buffing lions to be equal to Pokemon like Pyroar in stats. Sure, a lion can run through most of the Pokeverse if it were given, say, Solgaleo's power, but then that isn't a lion anymore: that's a Solgaleo larping as a lion. Pyroar has an Attack stat of 68. Compared to most mons, especially fully-evolved ones, that is a bit low. But even still, can a lion even match base 68 Attack? Lions have been allegedly recorded to jump up to heights of 12 meters. Weighing up to ~270 kg, we can plug those numbers into sqrt(2 • g • h) to get a take off speed of roughly 15.34 m/s, which we plug into a = v / t and assume a time of 0.5 seconds from prone to getting off the ground to get an acceleration of 30.68 m/s^2, which we plug into f = W + m • a to get total force of 10,932 Newtons needed to jump to that height. Now we look at Magikarp. A Magikarp living for many years can leap over mountains, yet no matter how much you train a Magikarp in-game, it never suddenly clears 10 base Attack. Magikarp weigh 10 kg, and the shortest mountain in the world, Mt. Wycheproof is 147 meters tall. Using the previous formulas, that is a feat that at bare minimum takes a force of _57,781_ Newtons to accomplish. So Magikarp, a Pokemon with 10 base Attack, can generate _over five times_ as much force as even a highballed lion estimate (the heaviest lion and the lion with the highest recorded jump height are different individuals). That's not even using the smallest mountain in Japan specifically, or using heavier Magikarp from the base Pokedex measurements. So in reality, or I guess with 100% lore accuracy or whatever, a lion that is transported to the Pokeverse that does not suddenly get bestowed the power of a similarly built Pokemon might not even breach double digits in most of its base stats.
@@christiancinnabars1402 The height a pokemon can jump has never been based on their attack stat. Jumping high (bounce) is a physical ability, and probably should be more closely linked to speed, if anything. Groudon has a massive attack stat. Something tells me mister rooted ro the ground isn't exactly about to pull a magicarp and flop. Aggron also has a considerably higher attack stat than Magicarp or Pyroar. Man is made of metal (and rocks when not mega). Even hopping would be an effort. Much more relatable to attack would be bite force or the deepness of wounds. - Additionally, we can't really have a serious argument about lions v pokemon without a way to translate their powers, and the options are either completely eyeballing by shoving pokemon into a statless setting, or giving lions a base set. The latter seems more logical to me since we basically already have big cat pokemon (Pyroar is a special attacker, and persian isn't that strong, hence why I picked them. Irl lions can't do the one main thing that sets Pyroar apart from them -> breath fire.)
@@LuckyNumber39The issue in gameplay logic isn't what one Pokémon is capable of in any kind of form, it's that there's a limited amount of PP. Sure, there's Recycle/Harvest Leppa strats, but last I checked, Eternatus can't do those. Suppose we tweak gameplay a bit, then it's 1 billion lions in horde battle mode, 5 at a time, versus EMax Eternatus. Assuming EMax Eternatus can OHKO every lion it hits, the best moveset for it would be Poison Tail (maximum of 40 PP), Brutal Swing (maximum of 32 PP), Sludge Wave (maximum of 16 PP) and Cross Poison (maximum of 32 PP). Cross Poison and Poison Tail are Single Target Moves, aka, EMax Eternatus can defeat 72 lions with those moves. Brutal Swing and Sludge Wave target all enemies, with 5 being on the field at any given time, that results in (32×16)×5 = 240 lions that can be defeated that way. We're at 312 lions right now. Let's assume it has a Leppa Berry that gets used on one of its multi target moves, that means another 10×5 = 50 defeated lions. There's also Struggle, which would knock out another 4. EMax Eternatus can therefore - in gameplay only, of course - knock out the astounding number of... Drum roll please... 366 lions. Yes, just 366. Because this entire thing is done under the assumption of gameplay mechanics - which are the only mechanics under which 1 billion lions Vs. one of every Pokémon could possibly result in a victory for the lions.
@@volcarona8401 that's the thing. EMax Eternatus is a Max Raid Boss. It doesn't use PP. And it doesn't need to worry about taking damage either since that can only happen when it faces Zacian and Zamazenta, which the lions don't have. It can go on forever, no matter what you throw at it

For those who have heard of the rod of god theory which is, put simply, “if I launch an iron rod from orbit into a certain position, it will cause a massive explosion due to compressing particles or something (I’m not 100% sure how it works) and make a retrievable and reusable explosive”
Magikarp is literally a watered down rod of god weapon.

Magicarp:
See, the first thing to me that I think of when the question gets brought up is "lions should be normal type".
Anyways, boucecarp is real.
ruclips.net/video/y-PArgnvqQ4/видео.html
Sunkern:
Its abiltiies require harsh sunlight, so are weather depenant.
Snom:
the actual reason is that even lions know snom is too cute to kill. Bug buzz might irritate the lions into a rage, worsening the situation if they aren't incapacitated.
Cosmog:
Lions can't touch it since it can teleport and float.
Wishiwashi:
Personally I would let it school, but even alone those stats are innaccurate. They actually have two extra zeros in each category.
Happiny:
Someone check that girl for drugs, she 100% is not natty.
@@NotlostMoon you make a very convincing argument.
-
Additionally, we can't really have a serious argument about lions v pokemon without a way to translate their powers, and the options are either completely eyeballing by shoving pokemon into a statless setting, or giving lions a base set. The latter seems more logical to me since we basically already have big cat pokemon (Pyroar is a special attacker, and persian isn't that strong, hence why I picked them. Irl lions can't do the one main thing that sets Pyroar apart from them -> breath fire.)
Cosmog could also just sit on the lions back because it weighs a ridiculous amount
That is Cosmoem, the evolution.

Cosmog could also teleport a lion inside a volcano and watch it suffer as cosmog smiles;)

Eternatus solos even in gameplay
@@LuckyNumber39 unless it has very powerful spread moves, nothing can solo in gameplay
@@HiILikePizza do you even know what it's capable of in its Eternamax form?
@@LuckyNumber39The issue in gameplay logic isn't what one Pokémon is capable of in any kind of form, it's that there's a limited amount of PP.
Sure, there's Recycle/Harvest Leppa strats, but last I checked, Eternatus can't do those.
Suppose we tweak gameplay a bit, then it's 1 billion lions in horde battle mode, 5 at a time, versus EMax Eternatus.
Assuming EMax Eternatus can OHKO every lion it hits, the best moveset for it would be
Poison Tail (maximum of 40 PP), Brutal Swing (maximum of 32 PP), Sludge Wave (maximum of 16 PP) and Cross Poison (maximum of 32 PP).
It can go on forever, no matter what you throw at it
3:55 Me with my Snom who beat one of Leon’s pokemon
Hey fellow lions lets come together and kill like 37 gods yay 😊
@@LEOFEON Hey other lions, this is my territory, leave or die.
I see this more as a "What are the weakest Pokémon best chances of beating a lion?" because using every different way to estimate what a Pokémon can do is a bit too easy.

Seriously tho, the frozen lake and Metagross feats alone say a lot.
