Another very thought out and executed video. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. Would you ever consider doing beginner series videos for the BES4 software?
Thank you Julie! I love all your tutorials and I watch for new videos from you. I learn something from each one you post. Do you know how to make and add a knockdown stitch around the embroidery design when stitching on towels?
Hi Kathy, thank you for the kind words of encouragement. So far with our machines there is not a knockdown stitch. The only place I have found it is in the BES4 software.
Another great video Julie. What brand of wash away stabilizer are you using? Have you used the DiME hoops embroidering a quilt sandwich? I have the hoops but the last time I used them the top hoop shifted when the embroidery arm moved.
Hey Terry, I used Floriani Wet N Gone Tacky Pressure Sensitive WSS on this project. As for the DIME Snap Hoop Monster... I do use it with quilt sandwiches but I tend to use bent pins with Pinmoors around the outside of the hoop for stability. If it is a really large quilt then I place books around my machine to lift up the quilt. Lately I have been using our regular 9x9 machine hoop - once I have the screw set set the first time I just pop up the top hoop without loosening the screw and move the quilt and pop the top hoop back down. It seems to keep the larger quilts from shifting.
Thanks for sharing the information. I have used my regular hoops for quilting. I have two of the DIME Monster Hoops and haven't really used them much after having problems with the hoops shifting each time the embroidery arm moved. I know other people use them and love them. I will definitely try the Pinmoors!
Oh Terry, I hope you will look at your DIME Monster Hoops differently...they are absolutely wonderful when you want to float an embroidery like towels and quick embroidery projects including table runners and t-shirts. I agree they are not as easy to use with quilting and I have found that it is more efficient to use my regular hoops when quilting, but I do use them with small quilts and the pins and Pinmoors. Hopefully, you will give them a second chance on just everyday embroidery projects.
Thank you. I enjoy your teaching. Looking forward to your other sessions. I never had a class on my baby lock. I have learned more thru your sessions.
Thank you Julie. You are a wonderful teacher. You walk through each step slowly.
Wow. I will have to try this. Thank you. X
