This is just an awesome tutorial. Thank you so much!! Finally I understand what the icons are for, how to use them, and correct application. Thank you!
Hi Julie. Thank you so much for giving use these lessons please can you do more. l just love the once that you have all ready done. kind regards dorothy.
Hi. Great video. I just bought DM and learning all in slow motion. Can you help me. I scanned a picture of left side baby’s bib and I was wondering if there’s a way to reverse the image and make right side so it’s a whole bib?
iwonabr Hey there...not sure why this just came through today..you can mirror the image by touching the icon that looks like two half triangles with a line down the middle.
So, why do you do the fill stitch on his belly first and then cover it up with the applique? I would have liked to see you stitch out the design and applique at the end.
Hey Vickie, OMG!!! I didn't even realize that I left out a detail about doing the appliqué portion first and then cycle back to the doggies and the fill stitch. Thank you for pointing that out.
Oh my goodness, that is so cool. So can I ask, does the Scan N Cut 2 quilter's model turn scanned in images into a stitch file or is that feature only available with the new Scan N Cut that will launch this Fall? I was also wondering, I've seen how the Scan N Cut can be used to cut out applique pieces (very cool) but how would you create a stitch file if your applique design has many pieces in it, ie. a bunny with separate fabric for the ears, the clothes etc. I can see where the Scan N Cut could scan in and cut out the separate pieces, but I'm a little fuzzy on how I could use it or the Dream Machine to create a digital file for stitching around each piece. Any insights would be highly appreciated!
Hey Kate, I just recently purchased the SNC, so I'm not sure how we are able to cut, create file, and stitch...but there is another group that might have the answers. They are on Facebook and it is called Brother Scan n Cut for Fabric
Julie I was wondering if you can do a video on this. I have an applique pattern for a quilt. I would like to use my scan & cut to possibly cut out these designs & then figure out how to maybe scan them into the my Dream Machine 2 & put the stitches around them. Probably using a blanket stitch instead of a satin stitch. I like the videos that you have done & am hoping you can help me with this. Thanks
Hi Kitten, thank you for asking for a specific video. I will see what I can do and let you know what I figure out. It will hinge on the blanket stitch...

This is such a cool feature. Are you using the Dream Machine 1 or 2? Thanks so much!
Hi Kate, I have both the 1 and 2 and was using the 2 in this particular video.

Lesson was great but looks funny with just the yellow tummy ?
Thank you Paula...I didn’t stitch with yellow, but thought it would be easier to see than white
