This was so helpful. I watched it several times to follow along - thank you. One question I had was that my appliqué was 6x5 but the XP3 required a larger hoop than the 10x10 magnetic hoop - thanks again!
Thank You for this. I've been making some applique designs doing these steps, but wishing I could get the zig zag type stitch after cutting away the excess fabric. Now I know, thanks to you- I need to use the bean stitch and make adjustments as you did. I always learn so much when I watch your videos.
Wouldn’t it be nice if Brother did an update to allow IQ designer to know if you were making an applique design? Like a check box we could click so that we wouldn’t have to do all those steps after we scan in our design?
It looks like a complicated process. Isn’t it easier to do on a computer in PE Design? What are some examples of when to use each methods? Thanks for all your videos.
I have a quilt kit that has laser cut gingerbread men to be fused on to a block. Is there a way to scan the block once the gingerbread man is fused on so I can get a stitch to also sew down the fused applique ?
I'm trying to follow these instructions-even made a list of steps if anyone wants them. However, when I get to 12:03, Terry's machine shows a stitch out button that does not appear on mine. Any suggestions? I have a Luminaire 1-thank you.
I find that if I click on a smaller size hoop I do not get a stitch out, but when I clicked on the biggest hoop I did get a stitch out. I do not know why that is. I was embroidering a drawing I had made on the screen (not very good, my first attempt) and wanted to know the order, but couldn’t do it. I was using a 6 x 6 hoop. Do not understand why that is. To get the stitch out there is a hoop sign in top right hand corner which you have to click on but as I said only on the bigger size. Hope this makes sense.
Jeffery Yasenchok - you can scan and create the Appliqué with the Dream Machine. You may have to set each part and save it to the embroidery memory instead or choosing return. I need to Test it.
Terry Maffitt I have searched this but I only get “Just Stitchin” or “Brother Luminaire Embroidery Machine” and honestly cannot find the group you mention. Is it only available in the USA?
