I’m thinking it should’ve been Press N Seal. But very much enjoyed the show! Thanks

Yes, that's exactly what she should have been using. Press n Seal.

Hey Courtney I think you need a Gladwrap do-over. You need PRESS N SEAL not what you used at all. Completely different product. Love all your productions. Big smiles!

Great video. Loved the parchment paper hack and the squeegee removal trick. For the plastic wrap... You need PRESS n SEAL by Glad. It is sticky on one side. For the Powder... Corn Starch works and there's no powder smell. I wonder if the transfer tape is too sticky for the felt or caused a problem with the auto pressure since it changed the thickness. Thanks Courtney

Hi Courtney, the minute you talked about using baby powder to show the lines I thought oh no here is trouble lol. I suggest try using a heat gun instead, simply lightly heat the vinyl making sure you don't stay in one spot , What this does is slighly seperates the vinyl. This is perfect for white vinyl as the cuts can be hard to see. I learned this from someone that has been working with vinyl for a very long time ( not in the craft world but professional vinyl printing/cutting). I have learned a lot from him and I use those methods in my crafting side which has been a blessing.

Loved the show as always Courtney! Liked the parchment and squeegee trick best. Might use cornstarch instead of baby powder for no scent and as someone else mentioned brush the powder off surface before weeding. Hope you do more hacks on another segment, always learning!

Coutney, the baby powder: I would venture a guess that you could have wiped the majority of it off with a cloth. The powder should remain, if you work with care, sunk into the valley of the lines. Your contrast would be higher too. Hate baby powder, try crushed chalk, like they use in gymnastics. You rock! Kicks and giggles always.

Use a quilter's chalk pounce that way you don't get powder over everything. They are usually filled with corn starch. This hack works best in conjunction with a light box.
Use freezer paper when cutting felt. Iron the waxy side to the felt. Then put the paper side down on your mat. Freezer paper peels off the felt without distorting the cut shape and no straggly bits! You can cut knit and delicate fabrics by sandwiching them between 2 layers of freezer paper, iron really flat. I recommend cutting minky this way...no fuzz all in your machine!

Can you see if you can make nail stamping plates on your machine? I’m kind of curious.

I had problems with felt stretching and distorting (the piece I cut) when removing from the mat and it leaves a lot of residue-I don’t want to have to clean the mat during a single project

glad press and seal would probably work better than the cling seal, it has a sticky side to it. The baby powder hack may work better if you wiped off the excess powder with microfiber cloth. I've never tried any of these just an idea

I'll bet it was supposed to be "Press n Seal", which IS sticky to other things. I believe it is also made by Glad. Lots of crafters use it for a variety of things. Works great for holding fabric out of the embroidery field, such as when embroidering a t shirt or other bulky object that needs corralled..
