The biggest difference you'll hear is the difference between the 2 door and the 4 door. You sit a lot closer to the rear tires and road noise is quite a bit different. You are basically measuring the sound off the front windshield on both, but you can hear a difference where you're sitting.
What is the miles on the tires.
Yes, it may be the same tires, but there can be a significant difference in tire noise depending on treadwear.
Get a mytop if you want your JL cabin to be quieter. It’s a triple insulated powered soft top that makes you feel like you’re under a thick heavy blanket where outside noises sound muffled
Thankyou
My 2015 2-door JK hardtop was a rattle trap with only 56k. My new 24 2-door Rubicon soft top is like a limo in comparison
great video keep up the good work
Thanks for watching!! -Zach
Scientific comparison…oh yeah, ones a two door and the others a four door…
What about high altitude?
wrangler meant to be rugged and survive water, not a fluffy foamy place like all others cars are
Basically it's really not that much of a difference. Let's be honest.
3 db is the absolute minimum level for the human ear to notice a difference. Therefor a reduction of -3db is virtually nothing.
If you needed equipment to tell you there was a difference, then there really isn't a difference.
