Not sure if you knew about this new feature for the 2024's. They have a retractable roof that slides open to above the rear passengers heads. This feature allows those that want the open air feeling of having the hard top off, without having to remove it. The two rearward windows also pop out and can be stored in the cargo area, giving you the same effect of having a top off.
Is the retractable roof you're talking about the one that slides forward vs this Sky One Touch that goes backwards? Thanks for pointing out the two rear windows for people who were wondering!
Fantastic video. The most detailed and instructional overview of a vehicle I have ever seen. Thanks a lot! Considering a Jeep right now and your video really helped me.
Their is no synchro when changing into and out of 4 Low ... the manual states you should be rolling slowly when changing into/out of 4 Low to allow the gears to mesh.
@@CarsWithSteve definitely a Sahara. After doing some research (and watching this video 😏), I know this is the right trim for me. I would use it mainly for driving around town

Very informative video! Just one question, can you only see the turn by turn directions in the cluster if you're using the Navigation option or can you also see it using (Apple Maps) CarPlay?
Thanks Jeff! It's only factory navigation for turn by turn in the cluster unfortunately. I haven't come across a car I've reviewed yet that shows CarPlay or Android Auto map directions in the cluster as well
@@CarsWithSteve My 2023 Ram Rebel has a turn by turn direction option in the driver cluster. You can actually customize the layout as you would like it.

Didn't mention any nagtive change of 2024. A lot of options limit to spcific trim since the 24 model. No body color fender option for regular robicon, no v6 option for sahara etc
I don't necessarily see the trim specific options as a negative. It makes the ordering process easier and typically when you factor in the cost of the add-ons it makes sense to look at the higher trim anyways. Fender flare color would have been a good one to point out - when I get a Rubicon to review I'll make sure to mention that!
@@CarsWithSteve it is definitely a negative as it limits options. Plus not everyone wants a color matched roof with color matched fenders. simplifying order options should not be a goal in itself as it only benefits Jeep, not the customer
No easy drive modes like the Bronco but it does have a lot of the same capability. You can manually switch to 4L, 4H etc using the hand shifter, there's a front and rear axle lock available, and a sway bar disconnect too. The Bronco definitely makes it easier with the different drive modes but the Wrangler is capable as well
Why anyone would pay the ridiculous msrp for a Jeep is mind blowing. I was in the market comparing Wrangler/Bronco/4runner and the ONLY thing Wrangler can possibly do is off road better. BUT! What I learned over my research is, most off-roaders have replaced ALOT OF OEM parts; axles, gears, suspension, driveshafts….seriously! You pay $50k+ to only pay 10k-20k more in parts? Hahaha Yea I stepped away quick…. Jeep will not last once Toyota pumps out there new vehicles and the 4Runner refresh. I tried to go to Jeep but doesn’t make sense.
Oops! I left out poor reliability plus build quality. The brand new one I drove had water pouring down from the door seal when it was open, really weird. 2024 Jeep Wrangler Willys $57k???! 😂 You really have to be brainwashed to get one, I really wanted to buy one. Now there is not an argument about banging up a GX because the wranglers are the same price…stupid. You can get a new GX460 for $65k. Most people are not driving these in Moab or extreme backroads. ✌🏼
You pretty much answered your question in what you wrote... The aftermarket part availability for the Wrangler is pretty robust. They've been around for a long time and until the Bronco came out, it was really the only option available for a true off-road vehicle with the capability to remove the roof and doors. Tough to compare the 4Runner to the Wrangler and Bronco because of that. The 4Runner may have some good off-road capability and will probably attract some buyers.. but without being able to go topless and without doors the Bronco and Wrangler will probably still be the go to for most people. People usually buy new, especially for off-road vehicles, because these things can be tortured off-road and you never know how well or if the previous owner maintained it. It's peace of mind. Do you have to get the $50k Sahara trim? Nope.. you can go for the Sport or Willys and save some cash
@@jeffreywilliamson4863 they're discounting the 23's here in Ga as much as $4500. Since everyone has seen the new options for the 24 models, they're all waiting for the latest and greatest!

In LA almost no V6's, and no One-Touch sliding roofs within 100 miles. Pathetic. A very American iconic vehicle----and it's unAmerican that you cannot even order one.
Crazy that dealers aren't accepting orders in your area right now. We haven't run into ordering issues this side of the border but that doesn't mean the build won't get pushed out. The 2024 is just starting to hit lots though and we really only have the Sahara trim around me - probably 2 - 3 months out to look at other options. Part of it is the dealer ordering trims that sell quicker and with higher interest rates it makes sense they're betting on the lower trims selling faster
