  • In this extra-salty episode of TFBTV, James calls out five pistols that he thinks are extremely overrated. Unlike James' Top 5 Most Overrated CCW Pistols video, James calls all of these out by make and model rather than category. A few facts and hints about the list - can you guess the guns?
    -One of these guns is a Brazilian revolver.
    -Overrated =/= Bad.
    -This list contains three overpriced German handguns.
    -Two of the German guns are from the same manufacturer.
    -This list contains one of the most cloned handguns of all time.
    -James likes has owned 4 out of 5 of these guns.
    -One of the German guns is only available in a polymer frame.
    -Three of these guns are available in 9mm.
    -Patrick has done a video about at least one of these guns.
    Any guesses before the video starts?

    The Taurus Judge is a perfect home defense weapon if you have kids. The reason is that if it has bird shot and you need to use it the likelihood of it penetrating multiple walls is minimal.

    • @tfbtv
      @tfbtv  6 лет назад +562

      About as minimal as the possibility of harming your attacker. *I'm pinning this comment because it's absolutely perfect and completely proves my point.*

      @sharkysw9 6 лет назад +86

      TFB TV , if a blast from a Judge doesn't change the mind of your attacker, nothing will. Second, if they continue with the attack a second shot in the chest from a foot away will stop anyone not wearing body armor. I understand your thinking, but in a real world situation a woman weighing 110 lbs trying to swing a shotgun gun around is more dangerous to her than the attacker. A pistol on the other hand isn't.

    CZ-75 is overated? Where to start. This is a full size handgun. This isn't a carry piece. This is a range gun. So it being heavy doesn't matter to anyone except guys who do forearm workouts in the gym. Ironically these same guys are the ones who struggle to rack the slide and complain that press checks are too hard when the slide rides inside the frame. BTW, the Sig 226 is the exact same weight and carries one less round. The finish isn't as good... What is this a nail salon? The ejection port is small so it isn't top tier reliability... When has it been unreliable? The reason people love the CZ 75 is the legendary ergos and how easy it is to shoot accurately. Is any other production gun more ergonomic at that price point? Interested to see if anyone can come up with a suggestion

      Well said. I went from not knowing what they were to buying one a month later, as did two of my friends-one a small female. The CZ 75 SP01 Phantom has/will solve a bit of the weight issue. That said, all handguns have their drawbacks, and I have warned more than one buddy against purchasing the judge.
      With that said, I do not buy or keep inaccurate/un-ergonomic or useless firearms. I do not own Glock 9mm's because I cannot shoot them well, but I have a Glock 20 in my future and the chubby compact .45's shoot fine and fit me well.

    • @Munisk52
      @Munisk52 7 лет назад

      Well I would argue that if you design a gun that has to be labelled "shooting range gun" it pretty much says "useless gun". It's like saying that constructing a submarine that can be only effectively used in your bathtub is not useless because it CAN be used, only in very specific conditions.
      "It isn't a carry piece". The same here, if a gun is only good in your gun closet or on a shooting range- you're doing something wrong.

      Substitute nightstand gun/ center console gun, and it works. A race gun or clunky range toy that's reliable and easy to shoot well, but impractical for carry is functional if it is something that you grab when you need it rather than wear.

    • @teller1290
      @teller1290 5 лет назад +6

      "The Govt" was the FBI when they decided, after going around the block since the 1986 Miami Shootout, that somehow all their previous research for 30 yrs was wrong and they just had to have 9mm. They went 9mm, like the military for two reasons in the following order: 1) female shooters generally are much worse than males and are generally less excited about learning how to handle larger calibers (and had been struggling at fed LEO academies for 15 yrs with Glock .40cal [adopted 2001], causing much more work for range instructors to qualify them and get their little chicken asses out to the field - where they'd then become Bureau Firearms Instructors problems. The 9s caused them less problems. True story...in my office one day, nosing around in the mail room (no e-mail yet!), there on the table was a bulletin regarding the annual female agents conference in DC listing ten issues raises on that august occasion. I recall near the end of the bulletin was issue 9 or 10, "Recoil Issues." This was just as .40 cal was coming on line and classes at the academy were being issued said caliber. One class of which I was a counselor had ten females and by end of first firearms session, the instructors had taken the 40s back and issued all but one woman 9s instead (9s still being on approved weapons list then); 2) ammo cheaper. I once saw a 40-pp "study," when Bureau dropped pull-ups from its PT test declaring that said exercise had somehow been judged not significant measure of upper body strength (most women trainees couldn't do one upon arrival or graduation 16 weeks later, causing much embarrassment when x number were demanded of males getting same badge, gun and creds). Same "study said push-ups were still good exercise." I hope someone notified USMC and USA Airborne units that they had been wasting their time for a century. I got into a 45 min argument with female class co-counselor about this absurdity and, despite her knowing her way around the gym I must say, defended with a passion this pc conclusion. That's all you need to know. The degree of feminist control, influence in the govt and the nation are far underrated - largely due to how long and successfully such ruinous absurdities have been wrought on our troubled land.

      1911's are great guns for target shooting and competitions. They've out lived their use as a carry gun decades ago. No police department or military issues a 1911 to my knowledge. If you know of one then please let me know. Yet people will tote it as being on par with any polymer pistol on the market. Aside from precision shooting. The 1911 is sub par to modern polymer pistols in every way.

      Most special forces guys chose something other than 1911. The Marines, god knows why, tried issuing "new and improved" 1911's for their special forces ppl, just in time for the even bigger push (also in the marines) to issue Glocks. Nobody uses 1911s. The 1911 is a classic example of the ridiculous costliness of trying to incorporate modern reliability into old designs. On a relative scale it's obsolete. If they want 45 auto they can do better than the 1911. The amount of money they had to spend per pistol just to get specs comparable to modern bottom-up designs is ridiculous. Basically every handgun the US military issues is more standard that the 1911, and for good reason.

      @@atlas42185 I don’t disagree, except that "Nobody uses 1911s". As I said, there are SOME soldiers and police throughout the world who, for whatever reason, do still choose to use 1911s. In fact I've talked to a few just in the past 6mo. Their department allows them to carry whatever their personal preference is, and it happens to be a 1911. Would I personally ever carry a 1911? Not unless it was my only option, and even then I'd prefer a Commander size or maybe even smaller for the sake of weight savings and you're not usually losing capacity.

    I've owned glocks. I see the appeal. They're reliable for the most part and aren't overly expensive. And... That's about it. Nothing special at all. Glock fanboys seem to talk about them like they're the best thing to happen to firearms since the discovery of gunpowder.

    • @agentblammo
      @agentblammo 6 лет назад +12

      Most people who love Glocks don't proclaim them as "the best of all handguns." They are simply among the most practical pistols due to price range and combat proven as they are used by the vast majority of law enforcement worldwide. If you gotta spend $300 on a Glock so you can shoot better with it, then that just might mean you're a bad shooter.

      Love my glock. I know it’s not the prettiest of all guns, but the stock trigger is good enough and it goes bang every time. That being said, I view guns as tools and nothing more so their functionality is the most important thing to me. God forbid I ever have to use it in a real world situation, I don’t want to have to worry about it working.

    Why is the Desert Eagle not on this list? It's loved by fanboys who have no idea what they're talking about. It's impractically heavy, is prohibitively expensive (at least compared to other pistols), is extremely loud, has a massive flash, its recoil is insane, and is too big to be practically carried. It's a great gun for the silver screen, but in real life, it's just excessive.

    • @zerrodefex
      @zerrodefex 5 лет назад +11

      The magnum rounds in the grip magazine mean that you need giant hands just to hold it properly, unlike a magnum revolver. It doesn't hold more rounds than most revolvers either and let's be honest, if you need to reload in a hurry after firing off several rounds of that ammo you're already screwed since you apparently can't hit anything with it. It's also g'damn unreliable, I tried renting it once and had it jam twice over the course of firing only 20 rounds! Even if it was uncleaned that's still unacceptably bad.

    • @phoenix7997
      @phoenix7997 5 лет назад +4

      I just bought an L5 for kicks. 9 rounds of 357 is fun, it's quite a bit lighter, and recoil is nil. Certainly not a CCW, but fun :)

I enjoyed shooting my desert eagle. nickle finish, .44 magnum, it was fun. but then I lost weight. Now I'm down to a G17.

    • @dELTA13579111315
      @dELTA13579111315 5 лет назад +5

      I'm a big guy and it feels great in my hand. I have the barrel with the muzzle break so the recoil is very manageable, honestly not much more than my 6" 357 magnum revolver. I very much agree about the costs though, it's very expensive to shoot. Definitely my most costly gun. I'm not able to find 50AE ammo for less than $2 a shot where I live (California), and because I live here I can't really buy ammo online. Yeah it's loud, but that part of the fun of it. It's more of a fun gun than a carry gun, especially with the great risk of overpenetration I would expect from it.
      Oh and the reason it jams a lot, for anybody curious, is because the way it is designed you have to manage the recoil properly. If you don't have a proper grip and stance with it, the slide won't go back as far as it's supposed to and it will most likely fail to feed. I had the same issue with it until I learned how to hold it. Basically you need the arm holding it to be locked straight, with the shoulder slanted back and your other shoulder forward with that arm slightly bent with your hand supporting your grip without pressing on the magazine, which could also cause reliability issues because it's a free float magazine. I hope this has taught somebody something they didn't know, and they'll think a bit differently about the Desert Eagle

      Yeah lol. I don't agree with the criticism at all on the CZ-75b. I own a ton of handguns and I find it to be an extremely good weapon. When I bring new shooters to the range, they almost always gravitate to that gun even when I have far more expensive options for them to shoot. Regardless, still an amusing video.
      Otherwise I agree with the list. I have a PPK because it's pretty but it's a very flawed weapon. I blame Call of Duty for the USP's popularity and the Judge is a ridiculous gun. However, sometimes we all need a little bit of ridiculous in our gun collection.

    I got a kick out of this video. I go back a long way with handguns, and remember when most of these guns were introduced. I'm not quite old enough to remember the introduction of the PPK, but was around in its heyday. With the exception of the pointless Judge (for which I have no explanation), each of the guns you chose brought something to the table that was different at the time. Those days have passed, but all these guns were at one time or another the hot ticket.
    The CZ-75 had great capacity for the day, with a very sexy grip, and it wasn't generally importable so there was that Soviet mystique. It was like having real Cuban cigars, forbidden therefore desirable. Even Jeff Cooper allowed that if he was ever to be caught dead carrying a 9mm, it would be a CZ-75. All of us "cool kids" carried them cocked and locked, had a better trigger than a Hi-Power (which was the alternative), and more accurate than any other 9mm you could buy at the time. We really kind of dug watching the black paint finish wear off, because that meant we had the actual Iron Curtain product. Back then you had to know somebody to even get magazines. The slide inside frame arrangement really did make them tack-drivers, although a bitch to rack the slide on. When I was young and before Mr. Arthur Ritis became a permanent guest in my life, I never even noticed it. Now I can't even get the slide back on mine, which makes it a nostalgic paperweight. I have no idea why they are so popular today, but that was what it was about in the late 70's. And even today, you could do a lot worse than to be armed with a CZ-75.
    The HK P7 was also popular then due to its scarcity. Even though heavy by today's standards, it used to be one of the slimmest 9mm pistols you could buy, and due to the gas system was incredibly soft-shooting. The squeeze cocker gave you as close to a short striker-fired trigger as you could get, nobody else at the time had anything close to it. Combined with the fixed barrel, it was significantly more accurate and faster to shoot than many competitors of the day. So, it was a very easy gun to hit with for just about anyone. The New Jersey State Police issued it because nobody other than a trained Trooper could figure out how to make the damned thing go off, and that feature saved more than one life. In its day, there was nobody who had the bucks who wouldn't kill to own one. After the mid-90's there were better choices out there. I also worked a couple of cases as an expert witness in which guys shot themselves in the ass trying to force the ole "squeeze cocker" into a tight holster with their shirt tails hung against the trigger. The novel cocking system worked in reverse as well. If you held the trigger back and then squeezed the grip, the gun went off.
    The HK USP was the shit back in the day, because they were the first polymer framed pistol to challenge the then-new Glock, and to do it with options and a better grip. Everybody takes a decent grip for granted now on a polymer gun, but HK was the first to put something on a plastic pistol that didn't feel like a 2x4. While Gaston was telling the shooting world "It's my way or the highway", if you had the price of admission, HK would sell you a USP in any one of several variants, DA/SA, DAO, SAO, DA/SA you could carry cocked and locked with a safety, ambi controls, AND you could re-configure your pistol yourself or they would do it for you. NOBODY offered anything like that back in 1993 when the USP came out. It was also purpose built for the .40 caliber which was new back then, during a period when Glock was still trying to upscale a very good 9mm pistol to .40 without much luck in the durability department. And when you bought the USP, you got a hard plastic case with the words "In A World Of Compromise, Some Don't" molded right into the lid. You also got the privilege of paying more than $50 each for spare magazines, buying from a company that let you know in no uncertain terms that if you were not a government employed snake-eater, they hated you and didn't need your business. Thus, every wannabe had to have one. And the S&W M&P was a dozen years from being invented.
    The PPK is easy to explain, but not in today's terms. All you youngsters can take your pick of pistols today which are objectively better than a PPK in most ways. But for us old guys who were carrying guns decades ago, if you needed something that would actually fit in a pocket with at least a .35 inch bore, you had two choices. An Airweight J-frame which you hoped held enough shots and you hoped you could hit with, or a PPK which you prayed would actually function when called upon, with anything other than ball ammo. Those of us that were smart bought the gun in .32 ACP which worked a lot better, and practiced enough until we could choose which eye we were going to shoot you in. By today's standards, the PPK IS vastly over-rated, but until Justin Moon invented the Kahr in 1995, it was the best we could do in a pocket auto.
    So I pretty much agree with you about the pistols you selected being over-rated, by the standards of today. With the exception of that King Turd known as the Judge, I know why so many people liked the others. And I know that for most of them, if I had spare cash, I'd buy them again, just because back in the day, they were cool, and connect me to some pretty decent memories.

      Andy47357..and I hope you take time to do that. In some ways that will be easier with online buying resources we have today, and some credible RUclips channels that provide good information, so you don't have to buy first to see if you are probably going to like something or not. Then there is the entertainment factor to be had here, like the honest humor James was providing here, which I thought was great.
      But in other ways, it is going to be harder. In the "old days" (I got my first handgun in 1972 at age 15, and had an older brother who was into formal police pistol competition, so I was hooked) guns were more expensive relative to our disposable income, so you didn't generally see guys own as many at once as they do now. Our only sources of "gun content" were actual books and gun magazines which were few in number, but places to shoot were not in such short supply, nor was ammunition so expensive. So most of us spent time shooting more, with fewer guns, and many of us got really good, as measured by the standards of the day, which then meant accuracy. Back when I was competing, match grade .22 ammo was about a dollar a box, and my component cost to load match grade .38 Special rounds was $2/50 and .45 as $3.50/50. Today you have a steeper hill to climb financially, and you can easily drop $100 for a single trip to a public range. Hell, my first centerfire revolver, a Smith and Wesson Model 10, only cost me $45 clean and barely used! But that took me a long time to afford as a 16 year old kid who got paid a buck an hour to pull weeds on a farm.
      Most of us back then started out pretty young with guns, rather than waiting until we were full grown adults with credit cards to buy our first gun. Economics alone sort of forced us to start with a .22 and work our way up as finances allowed, generally to a .38 (back then, no red-blooded American man shot 9mm, if you did, your friends questioned your sexual orientation, but the surge of "wondernine" pistols of the 80's changed that) and then up to a .45. Then if you were serious, you started reloading so you could afford to keep shooting.
      We shot mostly at paper targets. The electronic timer had not yet come into use, which produced a bunch of shooters today who are blindingly fast at close range, but who can't seem to hit a bull in the ass beyond bad breath range, because they focus on meaningless tenths of a second instead of accuracy. Now steel targets are all the rage, and are great for people who don't care where they hit something, as long as it makes a noise. Back when those of us who reviewed guns for magazine articles had to actually send our stuff to an editor before it was published, we'd have been laughed out of the business for doing an "accuracy test" like you see on RUclips, where some mook shoots his plastic blaster at a big piece of steel at 21 feet or so and pronounces it "accurate". For us, the accuracy discussion BEGAN at 25 yards, but I'll freely admit that most of us shot a lot slower, and looking at a video of us would have been as exciting as watching paint dry. Everybody on RUclips today marvels at the long range accuracy feats of Hikock45 with a pistol. In the days when both of us came up, what he does with a handgun (which is great) out to 80-100 yards was really never considered a big deal for a decent shot. It is considered extraordinary only by the current crop of "Seven yard heroes". I do tip my hat to him for maintaining his level of marksmanship at his age though.
      RUclips is a great resource, and there are some really good channels that I look at a lot for facts and figures on new guns, and honest, experienced opinions. But I find myself yelling at my computer screen sometimes when I see some guy who obviously owns fancy video equipment "reviewing" a gun, usually an older one, that he obviously knows nothing about, including the context in which it came to market. That is not at all directed at James and TFB, I'm talking about others. Then the same guy shoots the gun at a distance where he could have thrown a rock and hit the target, and if it makes a noise, he calls it good. Then for good measure, he'll wrap it in an old jock strap and submerge it in a tub full of sand and gravel mixed with baby poop, and act surprised when it won't fire 100%. I'm kidding, but only a little.
      So enjoy the old guns, even if they do seem outdated and over-rated now. Get one, and shoot it a lot, at a lot of different distances. Shoot some paper targets as well as steel, and keep score. See how easily (or not) you can hit with it, and how comfortable (or beat up) you feel after a long range session with it. I'm guessing you will find things that it does better than your new-fangled plastic blaster, and some things that it doesn't. But maybe, if it is a classic, you will "get" why people bought it, and why some still do.
      Now if you will excuse me, I need to find my M1 Garand. There are some kids outside that I need to yell at to get off my lawn!

Broken guide rods made from the same plastic as chinese made plastic toys breaking on me less than 200 rounds has nothing to do with operator error. The notion that they're quality because LE uses them is laughable... they purposely take a loss leader by offering the lowball deal to LE, because they know that suckers like you will think that that makes them good, and they thus make up their loss with tons of profit on suckers like you. They're ok guns - worth about $300 - a tad less than a Bersa.

    Gonna disagree with you on the CZ 75 there James. Its slide is thin because it rides inside the rails so it gets a bit better accuracy wise. Plus a lot of people still like and prefer all steel pistols (Not everything has to be polymer framed pistol #256) and the ejection port doesn't seem to cause any problems for most of the people who use it. For the popularity, it's used by military and police around the world and its the 2nd most copied pistol design ever behind the 1911. Regarding the finish, the one in the photo just looks like a police trade in that's got a lot of holster wear.

    • @eddietat95
      @eddietat95 Год назад

      2nd most copied pistol design is actually the Makarov, the 1st being the Glock - which has recently surpassed total production numbers of the Mak and continues to spawn endless striker-fired polymer "copies" (P320, M&P, etc.). The 1911 has become maybe 3rd or 4th depending on how you interpret the Hi-Power's tilt-barrel mechanism on other "copies".
      CZ75 copies peaked in the 80s and are no longer popular (just CZUB, IWI and some boutique competition brands). Any military and police agency that used them have replaced or are planning to replace them with Glock-types.
      As for "all-steel" pistols, it's actually aluminum that people like and what most manufacturers including CZ sell. In fact, CZ has been putting MIM parts on Shadows and other models (nothing wrong with MIM or aluminum, it's just not "all-steel" as gun lore likes to boast).

      My friend bought Glock, because it's Glock ... And what was his surprise when it jammed with first magazine in (user error but ...). He looked like kid who was told Santa doesn't exists.

BTW, Glocks are used in so many places because yes they're very reliable but the reason they are used is because they are CHEAP! I own 2 and love them, after the sight and trigger mods to make them acceptable for carry/ self-defense. A 1911 has been around and very popular for how long? Oh ya, since 1911! Good call Glock Fan Boy!

      I'm not a fan of this video, too. But read the title again, it's not about "worst guns", it' about "overrated guns". I don't even think that the 1911 is overrated, because most people see it as what it is: a iconic, classic gun, a piece of history like a Luger pistol or a C96 Broomhandle.
      The 1911 is only overrated if you see it as modern handgun fit for service with LE and the military or suited as an self-defense gun. I f you are thinking that, you are at least 50 years behind and then you're overrating the 1911.

    • @MrCooper89

      @@f.h.9606 Please. The only reason the 1911 started to fall behind is due to the price of manufacturing an all-steel weapon compared to injection molded plastic. There's nothing "out-of-date" when it comes to the 1911. It still has all the features that any modern pistol has, including various calibers and single-stack, double-stack models. Name one technological edge that a Glock, or any other modern day pistol has in comparison to modern 1911s.

    • @taitonaito
      @taitonaito 2 года назад

      Umm, maybe the reason that your fancy ass WW1-era boomer gun is so popular is a buncha competition shooters and history buffs, also some fudds thinking that they know better.
      Let's face it dude, most people buy 1911 nowadays for:
      - wallhanger purposes
      - range days
      - IPSC and BUG matches
      Oh also, your stupid all steel 40-ounce flail was so good that US Army immediately dropped it in the favor of M9. Even though the fact that a well-tuned M9 will run circles around any well-tuned 1911.
      You have to carry this b*tch in single stack since double stack 1911s just make no sense in terms of geometry of EDC, and the extra weight on the gun. And guess what happens when you carry a single stack? You're barely 2 rounds up a revolver, probably twice as heavy as a Model 327, shooting a cartridge that doesn't outdo a 9mm +P+ round. All so you can have your oh-so-important 2lbs trigger pull. Oh, and, let's not forget, you probably carry this because you want to carry a Chinese finger trap of a safety contraption instead of a real gun.
      Let me gently remind you that in real life combat situations nobody cares if you can nail a person's eyeballs from 50 yards with your 3000 dollar custom piece of junk. You can be as dead accurate as you like with a pistol, it won't change the fact that you overpaid for the function you can cover with a Glock.
      If you really want a light trigger pull, get a Model 327 and practice your single action trigger pulls. At least that way you get 8 rounds of .357 Magnum instead of 8 rounds of .45ACP.

    • @taitonaito
      @taitonaito 2 года назад

      @@MrCooper89 umm, ability to be a double-stack pistol without becoming a geometrical hassle to carry? With a double stack 1911 you'll print harder than a Glock, which isn't good for concealed carry to begin with.
      Or maybe being able to go bang without having to mess with two safeties and a hammer? Your 3lbs trigger pull isn't worth wasting time f*cking around with the controls of the gun.
      Or maybe being ultralight compared to a lot of pistols out there? A duty sized Glock clocks at 25 ounces, your 1911 weighs 40 ounces unloaded.
      If you're hell bent on a hammer fired all steel pistol, just get the Beretta 92 or P226. At least be realistic.

  • @reinbeers5322

    The P7 is a pretty decent gun, especially the M13 variant.
    The cocking lever has actually saved lives, in which bad guys have taken the gun from an officer and then not known how to shoot it.
    The fixed barrel also makes it more accurate than the Glock, the USP, the 1911, and other Browning tilting-barrel type of pistols.
    These guns have a purpose, and the 1911 and Glocks are tools. The P7 wanted to be a more intuitive firearm to use that wasn't another tilting barrel design. The USP was a P38 replacement, designed for .40 S&W and chambered in 9mm so it would be safer and more durable. And the CZ75 is a great 9mm in all regards. The Taurus is a fun gun, and you can't be as classy as a PPK. They are great guns. And they earned their reputation.

    • @taitonaito
      @taitonaito 2 года назад +1

      I mean sure, but they really fucked up with the squeeze cocker and the fact that it's shorter barreled than any of the pistols you just compared it to.
      If P7 was to be a target pistol and released with a longer barrel and without the squeeze cocker, it'd be a very good idea, it'd essentially be Laugo Alien of 1972.
      If it was supposed to be a combat pistol, HK really should have made it hammer-fired without that squeeze cocker again, and maybe with a double stack magazine. Being in a combat situation, having to put 15lbs on a lever in a pistol grip so your pistol can work is just plain stupid.

    • @reinbeers5322
      @reinbeers5322 2 года назад +2

      @@taitonaito Nah, the squeeze cocker is a nice feature. It doesn't take much strength to keep it depressed as you might think going off that number, and everyone that I've seen use one never complain about it. Usually it's price or availability!

    75B seriously? Understand why he didnt bash P10C; its humiliating Glock fan boys everywhere so guess it makes sense to go after another CZ product instead. Questioning its reliablity proves he's never owned one. Sigs nitron finish is on $1000 models so what is he expecting on a CZ $540 model. Slide to frame fit is awesome but if you're used to the way a Glock slide rattles on the frame straight outta the box I can see where he's confused. The out of the box trigger on any CZ product blows away any factory trigger Glock ever produced and maybe its the metal sights and trigger that makes the 75B too heavy for his limp wrists to handle. Use two hands to pull it outta the holster James and you'll be fine but the ergonomic design is gonna mess you up and have you actually hitting the center of the target for a change. Stumbled onto this channel by accident but it wont happen again

    We gave a Judge 3inch to my brother in law for Christmas 2 years ago and it has been the perfect gun for his needs. We all live in Colorado and he lives in the mountains. He hikes, mountain bikes, and rock climbs in the mountains. He had a kydex holster made for it so he can carry it on his hip or on his pack. It stays out of his way regardless of his activity. He has encountered 4 rattlesnakes & 3 mountain lions and successfully defended himself with the Judge. He could not be happier! It has never experienced a problem and he will not hit the trails/ rocks without it! While you say it is worthless, you are quite incorrect. You just have never had the need or the perspective to actually use one. I would love to see the result of you walking up on a den of rattlesnakes and using your Glock to make it through it... I guess Glock needs to make one for you to think it is an acceptable weapon. I find it odd that you do not talk about it reliability or effectiveness, as you do with every other weapon on the list, you just refer to the entire concept as opposed to any issues with the weapon. Hmmmmm... BTW, you blow a load over Glocks and I persona;;y own 2 but they have the absolute WORST sights in history that are actually sights and a horrible trigger; so yes they are very reliable and effective when you drop another $200 to make them serviceable. Everyone talks ablout how they are perfect guns at a great price but never factor in that you have to add to them to make them "perfect"...

Having to expend 3000 rounds to learn the trigger plus larger than necessary grip diameter. 2. S&W M&P modified Walther P-99 trigger second only to Glock as a bad trigger, or as I call them "lawyer triggers" IMHO. Problem with firing out of battery.Let us look at pistols or revolvers a person should carry and bet there lives on or even own. 1. Is it safe to use and are you safe & responsible handling it? 2. Can you shoot it well and hit the target every time you pull the trigger, not just at 21 feet (self defense range) but at 25 yards or farther? 3. Are you responsible, legal and comfortable carrying the weapon?
