Just gotta want it. It’s really not that hard, I dropped and swapped my trans, auto for manual in one day, drove it home that night, that was all laying on the ground too
nice job man, im fixing to do the same minus the 6 inch lift(for now) and i have a 5 speed. fortunately i have a car lift and a whole parts trucks ready.

I have a 93 f-150 2WD 5.0 V8 engine also thinking of swapping it to Dana 44 , I have 20x9 fuel vapors 5 lugs when I put the Dana 44 on will the lugs be the same for my rims to fit? I would like to see pictures from your project
Thanks for replying, ok what years dana44 can I install in my front axle? Yours came from 96 bronco . And once I get the Dana 44 installed can I run it without the 4x4 transmission? I still gotta get that separate and did you had to get a new drive shaft once You got the 4X4 transmission ?
@@Juanrodriguez-zy4sy Oh, I'm not the person who owns this channel. I have just done this swap. I used a Dana 44 out of a 78' bronco. With that being said, any coil sprung dana 44 out of an f150 that ran the TTB should install without issue. Probably from 80 to 96 I would assume. You can run the truck with just the 4x4 front end until you come up with a transmission and transfer case. However, if you do a solid axle swap vs. the TTB dana 44, you'll need at least a 4 inch lift for everything to clear.
Any recommendations? We got the same truck I been looking for a parts truck. How did you cut the 4L 4H shift knob Into the cab or what did you do? And we’re you able to get the 4x4 light to come on? How did you get the 4x4 to work? Was it just locking the front hubs or did you instal a 4L4H shift knob? I want to do this to my 95 4.9L but not sure how it would work. Any advice?
Yes you have to install the friggin shifter for the 4x4 transfer case. If you are not knowledgeable in how the 4x4 works on these trucks, let someone else install it
I have a 95 long bed six cynlinder two wheel. It is the 4.9 six cylinder. I would LOVE to convert to four wheel. Can you tell me, roughly, how much it cost you to make the conversion? And do you think it will be possible to make the conversion considering that my truck has a six cynlinder. I don’t want a lift on it. Just want to go to four wheel drive. Any advice you can give would be really helpful
I have the same truck, and I'm thinking about doing the same thing. I think it depends on where you live for the price (using junkyard/used parts). I might buy junker bronco as a donor truck for the project.
