+Diesel guy I’m converting a 90 2wd IDI truck to 4WD got a set of super duty axles and springs out of an 01 F350. How are you addressing your rear spring perches for your front axle? Are you buying or making your track bar mounting bracket?
I bought the front axle rear spring perches. As far as the track bar. I am going to buy a stock 1 and use it. If your lift is less than 3 inches a stock 1 will work from everything I have read. In about 2 weeks I will be doing another video addressing the track bar.
I’m curious what all I’ll need I got a 97 with super low miles and 5 speed really it’s the perfect truck besides it being 2 wheel drive I want to convert it
Hi I’m doing the swap on my 1994 f250 part I’m stuck with is I have a zf5 manual transmission will I need to find a Z a five manual 4 x 4 transmission or do you know if they make some kind of kit to do the swap? I know everything else I can just take off mine and put on from a donor truck, but I’m stuck with not knowing if I need a different transmission.
Hey man, I’m from the other side of the globe 🌍 and here I don’t believe that we have such great mechanics. I have just purchased a very nice well equipped motorhome, it’s an F350 2002, it has 57k km on it with solar energy and a generator. Everything looks really great for the cash I have purchased the vehicle (around 12k 💵) yep that’s correct. The only annoying thing to me it’s 2wd. I want to have it upgraded to 4wd and off road gear. Can you please help me specifying the spare parts needed to accomplish such a project? One more piece of information that I have subzero knowledge in mechanics 😖. Thank you. From Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦.
With it being an 02 that is a super duty and I don't know what would be needed to mount a solid axle underneath it. You'll still need a transfer case 4x4 trans and the 4x4 shifter for sure

I want to make a 2wd ford into a 4x4 but I want to build either a 4 link style like a dodge or copy a 2006 ford or newer coil spring suspension
The good thing about swapping to the Super Duty style axles are they are really easy and cheap to come by

If you could have a brand new transmission and transfer case, would you use OE, or is there an upgraded unit/units that you would buy?
I would still use a zf5 or zf6 with the np205 transfer case
Why did you go with leaf springs, over radius arms? Looking to 4x4 my 53 F250 swapped to a 75 F350 frame.
Simplicity and cost are the big reasons.

Axle, transfer case/transmission depending on what route you take. shifter and linkage, an axle mounting kit, drive shafts

You can either find a 4x4 zf5 or find a divorced t case like I did
