Hey there! It is a Uniden R4. I'm not real expert but I did enough research to know it is a pretty good one and pretty powerful if you take the time to really learn how to use it. It is a step below the Uniden R7 and R8 which are the highest end ones. I think Escort is also a very good brand. I bought a "mirror tap" wire on Amazon and paid a local stereo shop $75 to install it just because I wanted it done right and to not damage the trim pieces.
