Hate that it goes this way. Weather forecast is the same all week, so not sure what a day moved back does. KC is sitting at -30, but no public safety concerns there. If Davis suddenly becomes available with the extra day, the fix is in. But all in all doesn't matter. We're still going up, and we're still gonna play our brand of football.
There is a travel ban. meaning, no one can travel on the road because it will be whiteout conditions. Big difference, 47 people dies last year in Buffalo caught white out conditions

It’s moved to Monday at 4:30, and the weather says Monday blizzard conditions and high winds! And genius Tomlin decided to leave Pittsburgh to go to Buffalo at 3pm on Monday! Last I knew, airports close or cancel and delay flights due to snow and high winds! EVERYONE knew this was coming! WHY NOT CHANGE THE GAME TO A DIFFERENT STADIUM? Why wouldn’t Tomlin have them there already so they could chill this weekend and be rested for tomorrow? Knowing it’s supposed to snow on Sunday, why not get there at least Saturday so your travel doesn’t get screwed with closed roads, accidents etc? There sure was a BUNCH of stupid decisions made by all!

There have been many many games through history of football with terrible snow and ice conditions for travel, and they have not done this. This is BS, and it probably has to do with the 10 point spread. All the money that will be lost because they feel it will probably favor the Steelers.

I think it sus that the reports said the bills, NY government and the nfl decided to postpone the game but there’s no mention of Pittsburgh wanting this.
As of 12pm Central time today, the weather in Buffalo has it having around 1 inch of snow Sunday with sustained winds of about 25mph. Monday is supposed to be 1-3 inches of snow with about 15 mph winds. . . I guess the difference would be the wind? Prefer the game be played on Sunday and not beginning during the workday on Monday, lol.

No we are expecting 2 ft of snow, from around 6 pm tonight through sunday afternoon. Lake effect is a completely different animal from a regular winter storm
I think you misread the forecast. It's 1 -3 feet of snow by Monday. I'm from Buffalo, trust me, there is no way the game could be played if the snow is anywhere near what it was during the blizzard last year. You can't drive in it at all. The issue that I do see, if there is 2+ feet of snow over the stadium, they would be able to clear the playing field, but the stands will be packed with snow. It usually takes a few days for them to clear out the stands, but if roads are closed, they can't get enough people to clear out the snow in the stands. Not that snow in the stands would delay it again, but potentially less people?

And no, it was for sure inches, not feet. As of right now, 7:20pm central, the Weather Channel still refers to all numbers in inches but now it's 3-5 inches of snow accumulating for the day of Sunday and another less than 1 inch of snow for the night of Sunday so a total of 7 INCHES, at most, for ALL of Sunday. Monday is similar, but less windy, but now it's calling for 1-3 inches of snow throughout the day with another inch of accumulation over Monday night so about another 4 inches at most ALL of Monday. There is an 55%-85% chance of snow Sunday and an 62%-66% chance of snow on Monday.

I understand postponing the game for safety - but person for person, you'd think exposing 60,000+ to up to -40 wind chill in KC for 3.5 hours+ would be just as dangerous as attempting to drive into that tiny town they decided put an NFL stadium in.
I've gone to a game in Buffalo (Stevie Johnson drop game) & they got a foot of snow on our drive in, & we had to park in someones yard who sells it as a parking spot every Sunday. Orchard Park is tiny w/barely any real infrastructure. The physical space there with that amount of snow was probably limited in the amount of cars they could realistically park, & this gives NY State road crews 28 hours to dig out more space. The KC game going forward shows the NFL cares more about full stands than fan safety.

I live here. Trust me that isn't the difference. We are expecting snowfall rates of 2 to 3 inches per hour With sustained forty mile per hour winds and gusts up to sixty. Through sunday. Between now and sunday afternoon there could be 2-3 feet of snow that drops in orchard park. Monday morning will still have heavy lake snow but its supposed to taper off in the late morning early afternoon hours
If the rumor about moving the game to Cleveland was true, then move it to Cleveland. Becuz if the “joke” the NV Gov said about the Steelers chances, it looks kinda sideways that she’s making the decision to move it to Mon @4:30. I don’t think a governor has power to switch the game time. Probably NFL getting a better betting line this way. I wonder what some the great hall of fame players who played in absolutely horrible conditions in the 60’s are thinking about this. Some of those old nfl films really show the toughest players battling the elements as they battle against another team. Just play the game and move on .

The weather in Kansas City was significantly worse. But of course you can't give the league favs a short week! Only the Steelers specifically get their games flexed.
