@stephenkonkle4328 - Nick Wright is an entertainer, not an objective analyst or host. Adding Saquon Barkley is not even the best addition to the team. Hiring Vic Fangio was incredibly wise move.
The reason why the Eagles didn't do better in 2023 is because Jonathan Gannon left and they hired Sean Desai to replace him.
Vic Fangio should help get the defense back on track. The Eagles may play the Jets or Ravens in the Superbowl.
I don't believe the Bills make the playoffs or the Chiefs make it back to the Superbowl. I also don't believe the Lions make the playoffs, either. Tampa Bay barely got in with a 9-8 record in 2023.
A lot of possible surprise teams in 2024 - Jets, Cardinals, Titans, Vikings, Seahawks, New Orleans.
Every one of these teams have the potential to be top 10 in defense which always propels the offense.
Dave Canales has succeeded wherever he has coached and the Panthers vastly improved personnel. Canales should be a positive influence for Bryce Young.
I believe we will see a lot of surprise teams in 2024. Some team will surprisingly make the playoffs while a number of teams will surprisingly not make the playoffs.
Nick is just a grown fanboy of his own team. Kellen Moore and Vic Fagio will have this team running circles around these teams. Nick don't understand how lethal this offense is going to be and Vic is about to unleash the them DAWGS on defense 🦅😤💪🏾🦅

Pretty much all teams ar now implementing Fangios D. His Cover 8 (half quarter quarter) and his Cover 9 ( 2 high weak rotate to cover 3 match vs 3x1) is going to be all the talk next year.
Fangio doesn’t unleash dogs. His defense is something that worked in the past. He hasn’t evolved with the nfl and he’s stuck in his ways. The players will make this team. Head coach will hold back Moore again. I am worried about the staff. The players are the best roster in the league. Let’s not mention all the secondary players we added on defense won’t start. Seniority always comes first with the eagles unfortunately

Lawrence didn't have multiple injuries. It was just the ankle. Hurts had a bad shoulder, banged up knee, and injured his hand too during the season. That's 3 different injuries
And now he conveniently forgets that because during the season he admitted Hurts was clearly hurt and said he’s likely to get surgery in the offseason.

“ theoretically they had a good draft.” I hate when people try to make a point by saying we don’t know yet because they haven’t played yet. Of course they haven’t played yet. But they did not theoretically get one of the best cornerbacks in the draft. They definitely got one of the best cornerbacks in the draft AND Cooper DeJean. Eagles corners are older and they needed young talent with some speed. Both corners ran extremely well, worked out well, and have great film. That did not theoretically happen.

Honestly, looking at the schedule, obviously, we don't have a first place schedule. Health and performance dictate the win total but we can easily be a 12, maybe 13 win team.

I’m eagles biased but it’s so silly to think Eagles shouldn’t be first in NFC East. They added superb talent at the areas they felt a little meh at. Losing Kelce sucks. Losing Cox sucks.
Added Saquon, some decent wr3 battle options, two stud prospects in Mitchell, DeJean, Isiah Rodgers coming back, lots and lots of young talent now with the team inflecting to younger than old these last two years.
So to recap younger team, added all star RB (given OL upgrade Saquon gets) nickel corner depth, top two picks at CB, being back CJGJ, Vic fangio, Kellen Moore. Even my cowboy friends hate how much they liked Eagles offseason especially with how little cowboys did while leaving their QB in contract purgatory.

The Eagles defense wasn't terrible the entire season. In fact remember they had the hardest schedule up until I think like week 11 or week 12. Nick wrong proves and almost every take that he doesn't know football

The truth is a lot of the improvements are unknown. We have to wait and see how some of these draft picks pan out.. and if they can make the necessary contributions year 1 for this team to make the push it’s going for.
I think Green Bay wins week 1. I think the Eagles get off to a slow start. Like 4-4 after 8. However, I do think they put it together later in the season and go into the playoffs as one of the hottest teams in the NFL

I agree with Nick , losing Kelce is a big hit . We haven’t seen an Eagles team without Kelce . Brown looked soft at the end of the season . Hurts got worse . The rookies they picked while they are high drafts picks they are still unproven till out on the field . Defense could stay the same. Jordan Davis has no stamina. Oc are a question mark including the rookies hoping they pan out. I’m shooting for 9 wins . Objectively I can’t honestly say our rookies are going to be a lockdown defense game 1 . It took Surtain a year or two to be good. Flying French man sounds like always hurt Nakobe Dean . I’m just pumping the brakes a bit on the whole Eagles are going to be world beaters this early. I think that our problem was that our coordinators were not experienced enough and frustrated our players to the point they just did not want to carry these coordinators . I mean come on we had a youtuber brake down our offense in 3 simple plays through Madden I mean they were horrible.
The commanders with Sam Howell took the Eagles to OT in 2023, and as an Eagles fan, I'm glad Sam Howell is in Seattle because he destroyed the Eagles. If Sam Howell only played the Eagles he'd be a HOF'er.

As an Eagles fan, I can admit they were the worst team in football and likely would've lost to Carolina instead of TB, if that was game 17.
Anyone denying it is a homer, I won money against the Eagles in their last two games and they were my first two bets that I've ever made in my life, because they Quit in the AZ game at halftime, again. The Giants beat them in game 17, btw, which should've told everyone that they quit.
Also, how this collapse happened has not been explained and they lost their two best defensive players in Reddick, and Cox, plus they lost Kelce. We all love Kelce, but Vita Vea ate Kelce's and Dickersons lunch in that playoff game.

I’m sorry but you’re a little too high on everything the eagles did. Great OC? There’s no evidence Kellen Moore is a great OC. Cowboys offense got better and chargers offense got worse this past year. He was overrated in Dallas and only Dallas fans truly believed he was head coach materiel.
Great draft is a bit much this early. Did they draft positions of need? Yeah but you don’t know if the players will be good or not. It’s not fair to assess any draft at this point.
I think eagles will be better and contend because they have better coaches than last year but I don’t think they’ll be as good as 2022

The D Line took a few steps backwards. You lose Cox and Reddick, that haven't truly answered this. Until those who are supposed to step up do they are going to struggle.
Their Linebackers are a big question mark.
Yes it appears they have improved the Corners but the Safeties are still a question as well, both I mean.
This defense is going to struggle until proven otherwise.
Their O line is also a question mark, the right side. Center has to prove himself, we aren't sure about the right guard and the Tackle is getting up there.

One of the youngest teams in NFL history in the playoffs that was fairly close to making the NFC Championship Game. If not for inhuman plays being made by Brock Purdy at the end, GB would've gotten at least THAT far. Green Bay is only scratching the surface of how good they possibly will be. This could be a team in the mix for the next decade bro. Philadelphia will be pretty good, but I just think Green Bay will be a tick better. I'm all in on Green Bay

He said the offensive line has issues. Based off what I have no idea considering the whole line minus Kelcee is coming back and they are one of the best lines. While kelcee isn’t just replaceable he hand picked his successor and groomed him for 2 straight years. He won’t be as good as kelcee but our line is really good so all he has to do is just not be bad. We won’t know till he plays but he surround by one of the best lines in the league. Even Steen who is set to step in this year while not having a ton of snaps has looked pretty good when he did play.
