We might not have Derrick Henry but we have a two headed monster, so I think we will be fine, I personally think Warren is the best of all three at this present moment. He is powerful fast and has a burst that the other two don’t have…

I think CAIII & RW are both versatile enough to play inside and out. Not sure if we will reinvest in the jet-sweep, but we got a bunch of guys who can operate in the slot. We have 5-guys who are sub 4.4 - 40 with GP being the slowest at 4.47 (Not too shabby). I still think we are taking a page from the Chiefs and getting guys who can stretch the field quickly. If you pack the box against us this year, its going to hurt!

This is going to be a ground and pound run first offense. People are sleeping on Friermuth as #2 guy. Roman Wilson may be unproven, but I believe he is going to surprise people and be our #2 or possibly pass GP as our number 1 bc of his ability to get open. We also have 2 featured backs, with Warren being an excellent target in the passing game as well as being elusive. What we need is depth and I believe we brought in enough experienced bodies for backups

I think the biggest reason the Falcons didn't have a legitimate #2 WR was that they had horrible QB play. Nobody was going to emerge as the #2 WR with guys throwing the ball.

  • @zayy2694
    @zayy2694 26 дней назад +1

This thinking of oh in the Arthur smith O it doesn’t matter who the 2 is cuz it’s a run offence anyways is such horrible thinking. This isn’t the 1970s we not win a buncha games just trying to run all day long one game or at some point we will have to rely on the pass heavy. And with that thinking what happens if pickens gets hurt or has a bad game? He can’t afford that now cuz we “ didn’t need a wr2” so passing O or not we need another wr if they have any serious plans of making a real real run. I like Wilson but he’s a rookie and relying on ur 3rd round rookie to just come in a and make immediate impact and be ur number2 isn’t ideal at all

Pittsburgh produces #1, #2, and #3 WRs n have been for years, hopefully this will be a more productive year to actually showcase that statement but im confident that whoever we have out there will be more than competent to get the job done, as i recall the Patriots were pretty capable of winning games with the no names they had

The number one reason why it worked in Tennessee and didn’t work in Atlanta, quarterback. You can spin it anyway you choose but it all balls down to positional players, Tennessee had them and Atlanta didn’t. See they put everything on Arthur Smith but what was the first thing they did when acquiring a new head coach? The first thing they did was go out and get a veteran quarterback, go figure.

King Henry in his prime was worlds ahead of Najee... just as he was at Alabama. Go look at the game log to the amount of long runs Henry had vs Najee. He's just so much faster--AS, along with drafting an OL, will do any RB "well" but it won't make any RB the next Henry.

So explain Jaylen Warren… just stay in a fans place.
Goofy as yinzers never lay blame to the actual players. Its always the coaches. These are grown men, not children. Coaches introduce schemes and prepare them for situational football. Development is as much on the players themselves as anybody.
These aren’t kids in little league.

Imagine having a child in grade school that plays Baseball, would you rather have Babe Ruth or His math teacher coaching him ?
The fact is we fail at coaching often, and all of the fired coaches here are proof of it.
Ben had about four or five ocs..That’s incredible considering how he played.
Yeah, coaching does include the things you mentioned, but it’s also more than that, like motivating, guidance, inspiration.
Believe it or not, players are human and subject to decisions and events that can affect their performance.
As for Warren vs Harris, they are different people , and are also subject to coaching, how do you know that the Running Back coach is helping one more than another?.. we see it on the field.
And that coupled with his play style and ability.
Example would be the concept that taller quarterbacks are better suited for passing than shorter quarterbacks, yet field of vision is the thought there.
So when an offensive line breaks down and the running back is swamped, the faster outside back stands a better chance to run than up the middle style.
These are examples of average plays, not exceptions.
I’m not an expert but I trust Tomlin to improve his coaching staff as needed.
Hopefully he sees this( lol) 😂
Look for an improvement in Harris this year, as well as Pickens and Baby Gronk.
The new OC will utilize his staff better, and the line improvement will help, coupled with Wilson being a far better qb than the last years entire room.
Things will get better, we don’t need to throw the baby out with the bath water, Nice talk.

Henry has the home run ability and Najee does not... Even at Alabama, Henry ripped a ton more long runs than Najee who had surprisingly few long runs considering the amount of NFL talent on his OL in college.

    • @ireneknight8701

@@mike2687 Henry ran for 3,591 yards and 42 touchdowns on 602 carries in 39 games from 2013-15. Harris ran for 3,843 yards and 46 touchdowns on 638 carries in 51 games from 2017-20. He had more opportunities as a receiver because of how Alabama's offense has evolved in recent years, adding 80 catches, 781 yards and 11 touchdowns.

    • @ireneknight8701
      @ireneknight8701 26 дней назад +1

Harris definitely has the touchdown ability, the obvious answer missing from your equation is that Henry was playing in an entirely different game.
Harris has been playing in the AFC north, much much tougher division.
Wait till Henry has to avoid Myles Garret or TJ Watt.
And again you must consider the entire team, especially the offense .
A example would be Playing as Levon Bell , the team helped him tremendously, often safeties would double with a cb or lb to slow down Antonio Brown, making the best paths for Bell.
Once he left Pitt he faltered in the Jets games and others.
It’s a team sport, and last year Harris did not have the same talent he has this year.
And in Tennessee, Henry had luxury that he will not have here in his twilight hours.
I want to point out that Tom Brady had a similar situation, in his career he played in a division that primarily sucked through most of his years.
If he would have been facing the afc like Ben, Flacco,etc.. Ed Reed and players like Troy would have had a say about Brady and his stats.
      Just some examples.. 🍻
