Day of Mourning 2022

This Safety Minute takes a moment to reflect on the annual Day of Mourning and reflect on workplace fatalities. The video looks at the common ways in which safety systems fail resulting in incidents and fatalities. Using these failures Spencer challenges the viewer to embrace safety and their procedures to help decrease workplace fatalities further. The video also compares the workplace fatality rates of countries with advanced safety systems and legislation to that of the worlds workplace fatality rate. This is done to draw out how safety systems do work and do save lives but also that there is more work to do.
