  • It is summer and that is when people tend to drive faster.
There's No Such Thing As The Fast Lane looks at the perception we have about the left lane on the highway. The street sign Slower Traffic Keep Right has been interpreted as the left lane is for faster traffic. But that is not the case. That sign means that traffic going at or below the speed limit are to stay right. Yet, many have added to this sign and believe the left lane is a free pass to speed. By speeding they really do not save much time as they really do increase the likelihood of an accident and the severity of an injury.
There is no such thing as a fast lane!

Driving fast can be safe with good lane discipline. The biggest problem even in the states is left lane campers refusing to move over to let someone pass and that disrupts the flow of traffic which is way more dangerous than speeding.

Slow does not mean safer, it means slow. Drive properly and there shouldn't be any accidents.
The left lane is for passing, not camping. Move over for faster drivers. It's that simple.
I have bright lights and 135dB horns and I will use them to try to get you to move over.
Let to police do the discipline. You're not a cop.
    Sorry about your injuries.
