42:59 well said. I don't like the any% runs for this game (and most other cv games really), they are a mess and not fun to watch. I love no out of bounds and glitchless though.
So, I've played this game countless times, but it's always been one of the entries I haven't been AS big of a fan of. That being said, I would have given it a slightly higher grade on my review had I known about that quick swap with the elemental books, because that's pretty huge tech that the game just... Doesn't tell you? Absolutely wild haha.
Excellent run of a really underrated game. Good commentary too while executing some pretty tricky moves. HoD has some rough edges, but really I think it is an excellent game. Even my first playthrough was sub 6 hours (200%) with a LOT of wandering about. Maxim mode was fun to figure out, as a gamemode he was probably even more fun than Julius in AoS.

Playin through this first time on a retroid. Like it a lot, always loved SOTN. Knew this would be a satisfying speedrun game. Even better as "intended".
Do they really not tell you that? I remember doing that on the game boy adanced SP and I had no guides for this game (which made finding out what I was doing as a kid a different kind of hell) maybe pressing buttons like crazy yielded results, I mean it gave me the Maxim martial arts or whatever Edit: by that I mean the book swapping thing

Hey just wondering, could someone explain to how to do that dash momentum trick at the wall to get the platinum tip??? PLEASE... lol I'm going out of my mind trying to figure out how to do it. Also... does your luck or level have to be at a certain point to get the noon star to drop from the specter??? Or maybe you gotta be far enough in the game? I dunno, but i been grinding the 2 specters in the clock tower for over an hour and it only RARELY drops the sapphire.... Any help is much appreciated! EDIT: I FINALLY GOT THAT FUCKER TO DROP THE NOON STAR!!! it took over 2 hours!!! UGH! still trying to figure out that momentum jump to get the early platinum tip.. Someone please help lol
There's a couple cool tracks, but otherwise I agree.. kind of a bland game... symphony and aria are better... circle and harmony I find very stiff in maneuvering and such
