Thanks for an accurate review. I got confirmation from YES. customer service, that for 2024 the carbon is gone in the glass. Did you notice any difference from the 2023 model?
It's a shame they downgrade the boards over the years, i've heard they did the same with the bsod and mind expander, this market is the wild wild west.
Last years model was on a bunch of ya'lls best of lists, most under rated, etc Did this years model get worse, did other boards get better, or is this inter rater variance? Keep up the great work.
Avran 200 lbs, stance 21,5 like the ref stance of the 156 2023 with carbon he rode. TC 165 lbs 22 inch wide also 156 but 2024 without carbon. IMHO, TC weight places him in the 153... I own 156 2023, 165lbs 9,5US... too much board at low speeds, and as soon as i went wider than 21,5 it became horrible. I sized down to 153 as avran recommended me. Hope it helps
Hi, is this a sensible upgrade from a yes basic? I am probably just classed as an intermediate rider on a good day and don’t do any park/freestyle riding. Thanks
Semi agressive rider here with a k2 excavator and another freestyle deck already. Looking for an all mtn. Would you lean towards standard or standard uninc?
I ride a Typo now & really like it but sometimes want something more aggressive but still with the same does everything well feel. Would this board be a good upgrade?
I have a 2022 Typo and purchased a Standard Uninc in 2023 (which was warrantied with a new one in 2024). Very happy with the Standard Uninc. Solid ride especially off piste and very stable on kickers.
Hi, is my weight 183 lb (5 11") and 11 boot size OK for size 156? I'm afraid that the board will be too narrow for an 11 boot size. Thanks a lot for your advice.
Should I get this after owning and riding the Yes Basic for a while? I want to progress a little to the next board which is a little more stable at higher speeds than the Yes Basic which can get quite chattery.
I've got a Yes Typo and Ride Berserker which are both sick but I'm looking for something buttery to ride switch in pow but that can still handle chunder once Snowbird gets tracked out. Also because the Typo is beat to shit. Between a Lumberjack / SB Pow Twin / Standard Uninc what'd be your pick?
Would this be a lateral move if I already own a shadowban? Looking for something a little more aggressive, versatile all mountain, somewhat forgiving, and can carve better than the shadowban
So im a newbie snowboarder. I went out last year in rentals for 4 days. Im now hooked and bought a season pass. Im still learning about all the different kinds of boards and terminology but just cant figure out what i should get given all the options. Im getting tired of all this research. Whats the one or 2 boards that you would always recommend for a beginner like myself?
Debating this and the Jones Frontier. East coast rider getting back into it after a 9 year layoff. Before that was snowboarding for 10 years. Very little time spent in the park. Just looking for something to cruise with. Something good for carving, nimble, and good on ice. Any suggestions?
This will be more aggressive then the frontier by a fair amount. The normal Standard would be more comparable. Both should be solid for what you described.
I was debating between those 2 boards as well. I got advice from The Good Ride and ultimately went with the standard uninc due to it fitting larger feet better. I think you will be good either way for your riding style depending on boot size.
I own both, riding since 1993... PYL Uninc all mountain-FREERIDE. Std Uninc all mountain-FREESTYLE. Both have excellent edge hold and hold on ice. Both carve good. Pyl faster edge to edge. PYL stiffer and harder to press. Both have stiff torsional flex. Pyl nicer turning, PYL floats more. Both have good pop. Switch doable with PYL but Standard wins here.
Hi, thank you for your video. It helps. I read the review of thegoodride as well and it seems that this board is still made for people with bigger feet. I mean, they are quiet formal on that point on thegoodride. I was locked on this one, but I have a huge doubt cause I have relatively small feet (8.5 to 9). I am 180cm tall for about 185lbs (84kg). I am more into freeride freestyle rather than park freestyle (I don't really go there often). The PYL is also appealling but the Standard just seem better and the PYL is hard to find in a shop in Europe... Can I get your advice here ?
If you listen to idiots you'll get idiotic advice. Don't listen to what they have to say. You'll be fine on this with an 8.5 to a 9 it's just going to be more stable underfoot.
😂 Duly noted, 156 or 159 then ??? And what about the basinc uninc ? Is the standard by far better ? I may have a plan to get an almost new basic uninc 2023 for a good price though. Thank you for your advice, very cool 🤙@@AngrySnowboarder
can anyone explain exactly what an "uninc" variation means ? there are multiple yes boards that have an "uninc" version and i can't tell what the pattern is
Standard = CamRocker // Standard Uninc = Full Camber. Main differences there. Same goes for Basic / Basic Uninc. I agree, the naming conventions are a bit confusing. Definitely get the history being Uninc, snowboarding has a lot of inside naming conventions 🤣
In the livestream you (TC) mention that you were dissapointed when riding this board and that it was only "descent", but now you say you liked it and that it would be on your radar for sure if you only owned one board? ruclips.net/video/WP7eUXHCrX8/видео.html 1:33:35
It was about this one. I went into the review thinking it was going to be one of my favorite boards i was going to test. I liked it but the first day I rode it the mountain was a sheet of ice and I was super bummed about how it performed. I had to go back and ride it again at Copper because I couldn't believe how bad it was. After riding it at copper I enjoyed it. Sorry for the confusion. I should have explained that better in the livestream. -TC
Got on this yesterday. A true all mountain slayer for someone who likes to go hard.
Your review is bang on! My exact feelings on this board, alas last year's model.
Did you prefer it to the jones aviator 2.0?
Many thanks

@@youjib yes said to me that pop and flex remain the same thanks to a new triax glass... my eeeeye
Do you think it will make any big difference with / without the carbon?
Yes. I own both. 2023 little lighter and little more pop but flex very similar.

No. You would be better off going to the Typo.
Spot on review 🙌
Do you think this Yes standard Uninc is comparable to the old Yes Ghost?
Theoretically yes. I think it's better than the Ghost honestly.
Pretty standard review.
NOT NOW EMBEE FUCK
Pretty standard comment.
Yes
nuh uh
Pretty standard uninc comment hahaha lollolzz
Semi agressive rider here with a k2 excavator and another freestyle deck already. Looking for an all mtn. Would you lean towards standard or standard uninc?
Regular standard is softer so…
@@AngrySnowboarder your reviews make me angry in a good way.

Yes, that's the next step from Yes in terms of going stiffer and more aggressive if you're on a Typo.

This is wider at the inserts so you should be fine unless you have some super bulky ass boot.
Is this board aggressive and really locked in? Or can it skid a turn and be easy going sometimes? Thanks!
You can do anything you want.
Yo! What’s the flex of this compared to the Libtech Dynamo? Thanks!
Should I get this after owning and riding the Yes Basic for a while? I want to progress a little to the next board which is a little more stable at higher speeds than the Yes Basic which can get quite chattery.
Do you need a twin?
@@AngrySnowboarder Yes, I think twins/directional twins are very fun and versatile.

Probably SB Twin
Hi will K2 Passport be similar / overlaping or totaly different board :)?
Same category just softer and less twin.

Yes

More camber centric I think. Harder chargers
No. It refers to UnIncorporated which was the like Dcp, Rdm, and Jp were a part of when they rode for Burton before they dropped them.

Where's the angry bitter spiteful person?
Died in a freak bird milking incident.
Bought this board this season. Took a nasty fall on my 3rd run and the entire nose delammed and edge pulled out.
Yes wont warrenty. Shit company.
And let me guess ran into a rock and think that’s a warranty issue too.
Ive hit plenty of stuff in my day. The board split in half and entire edge pulled out.
