can you install this on a truck which has factory installed back up camera? the lock seems to be exactly where the back up camera is located.

This video is very helpful. the only thing is it's only 85% of the job. It's missing video for step 8 (wiring) I wish it had video of running long wiring cable to engine compartment, to driver compartment, to fuse box, connecting lock/unlock wires, and so on.

you can find a video on that from handa look for ridgeline back up camera, you will see a picture of a guy with a air ratchet on the driver side of the panel. The username is Hondaanswers4u. You can get instructions from them.

Thanks. But I figured out a way to wire it without going through engine compartment and fuse box. I linked it to the wires that control the rear doors, so the tailgate locks/unlocks with the rear doors.

Hi Glenn, I know this has been a while ago but if you could kindly take a moment and explain how you tapped into the wiring on the rear doors so it unlocks and locks. I will be trying to do this soon.

I tapped into the wires located in the panel where the driver seat belt is. Remove the cover and look for the yellow wire with black stripe and yellow with green stripe mentioned in the instruction. I ran the long wires through the hole just underneath the rear passenger kick panel. It would be nice if I can post picture with this reply but I don't think it had the option to attach a file.

Can you link the wiring for this lock with the one that operates the in-bed trunk lock?

I would also like the answer to this question. Seems like a great, more convenient place to tap in. Anyone, anyone?

hi anything like that for Ridgeline 2017 with smart entry??

Probably way too late to help you, but for anyone else with the same question, yes. It is my understanding that the same kits work with all Ridgelines of the same generation, regardless of whether they have the smart lock system or not. I'm about to install on my 2019 RTL-E which has all the electronics. Just wish the wiring was a little more clear.

does this also lock the handle under the tailgate?

Yes it does. He shows it at 6:13. I'm surprised this isn't clearly laid out in their marketing material. I bought the lock hoping it would work that way. It does!

The wiring is the actual part that's not intuitive. Would have been good to show that
