Install tip on a 3500 Ram, using factory holes in the sides of the bed for the drain tubes the holes are to high kinking the tube. So I cut the tube and installed a 1/2 inch pex 90 degree elbow. 😁
At 4:12, it appeared that too much pressure was needed to push open the cover. They are supposed to glide open very easily.
If you look carefully, you can see the cover was not installed squarely... this was a botch job install in the video.. The adjustment is the hardest thing to do.
I have put these on the last 2 trucks I bought. I don’t think you can buy a better looking, or better operating bed cover.
Having a tough time deciding between the mx and xr rails. For only roughly $120 more should I just get the xr rails and have em in case I wanna add on later? I just prefer the flushed look of the mx rails more.
I had mine “professionally” installed and it has leaked ever since. I really like the Retrax, but it’s certainly net everything as advertised.
Mine leaks like a siv. The entire bed is soaked after every car wash. I’ve had it reinstalled twice, no change.
Mine leaks too.
They all leak… none of them are 100 percent water tight all brands are the same

I just bought this truck cover and I have had a lot of problems with water damage to my personal stuff only had it for 1 month and all my kids baseball equipment all got wet today it rained over here and I put all the stuff in the back of the truck to go to their baseball practice and when we opened up the back of the truck everything was soaking wet this truck cover is not waterproof at all very upset with this purchase
How long does it take to open easily?
Or is it kind of hard to open and close ?
12 seconds to open and 20 seconds to close. (with remote keyfob). For faster opening/closing I used the White Lithium WD-40 (metal on metal spray) - dont use regular normal WD-40. Easy to open and close i measured 15 feet away . You can even open/close while your driving your car.
Or try it in a carwash.. :). (kinda kidding , unless ya wanna clean out your truck bed).

How much weight can the panels support ? Is there any difference between the 2 materials in capacity also
On the ranger forums, the ranger version supported a 200lb male. But I would call them directly to get something more concrete.
retraxone - aluminum reinforced polycarbonate supports 200LB
retraxpro - aluminum finish supports - 500LB
Anyone ever shorten these for use with a toolbox? Not concerned with it being completely sealed

Retrax has some serious problems delivering their product. Been waiting for a ship date, still waiting. Disappointing!!

I have a 5'5" so I'm thinking do I get it and have the ease of access and security while sacrificing a foot of space or go with a soft cover (TRI folds) which I hate tbh 😂
I was thinking of getting the GatorTrax if this one doesn't fit.

Leaks like crazy, debris falls inside the box when you open the cover, does not lock properly or open properly…worst cover I have ever purchased and they won’t even accept a return. I guess they know this cover sucks.
ahh don't forget to unlock cover lock otherwise left side will not roll in VERY IMPORTANT SO VID IS FAIL
