This video specifically targets how much the whole home audio amplifier uses. In my other smart home video, they have 2 amplifiers, so we would simply double this number that I computed in the video!

Have you found a way to control each zone via Alexa/Google?

Have you considered powering the amps via Smart Plug like the Wyze and IFTTTT so the system is off when you are away from home and having it turn on when you return home via geofencing? Just a thought to save some energy and possibly extend the lift of the amps.

Me personally, I would rather not deal with that and just have it on all the time lol but great idea!!

@@TheKMZ1 Another question, do you intend to perpetually support the Android app as android comes out with new versions all year? I have concerns over time your app will no longer work with android and no longer supported. I would be willing to re-buy the app just to have long term support.

Yes I plan to keep supporting it, I've already done support recently for the newest version

So I just bought a house that has a whole home audio system installed, well partially. It's 10 zones coming from what looks like selector boxes (JAMO brand) one has 6 zones (buttons) and one has 4 zones (buttons) labeled for each room. each "JAMO box" has an AMP input (keystone jack), each room has the old dial for volume of the speakers. The problem is that the previous owner took the AMP, so I need to purchase an amp with "2 zone outputs" i guess, and hook it up to the 2 "JAMO selector boxes". Is that right? also it looks like it's 4 wires for each input (jack) are these left positive/negative and right positive/ negative? and the wall dials have their own power source or is the "power" voltage come from the AMP and 2 of these wires? also would the Dayton Audio MA1240a work for me?

Yes the 4 wires should be positive and negative of left and right. I'm not entirely sure, i would need to see pictures. Feel free to email me support@kztechconsulting.com with images. It seems like the amp only has 1 input to power the JAMO and then from there that somehow powers the rest. I can tell you that the monoprice amp is not the right one, at least not in the current configuration. That's not to say that you couldn't do some re-wiring to get it to work with it. I have consulted a few people on how to convert their old rotary system into the applicable monoprice wiring format for this amp
