This is honestly so therapeutic for me 😌 the nostalgia is so real, it just takes me to my childhood when life was so much more simpler & enjoyable 😩🙌
One of the great memories of the 80’s was my Dad getting my brother,sister and myself a crossian’wich and hash browns on Sunday mornings they were so good!!! Ahh the 80’s 🙏 for another awesome episode Dave 🧈🧈🧈🧈📺
I can relate to this so hard, except for me it was the mid-90's and on Sundays I'd go to Burger King after church with my mom and I'd get a breakfast sandwich and the Tropicana OJ in the little carton with the hole for the straw (OJ always tasted better out of the carton especially as a kid). Afterwards, I'd hop on the toy set they had set up in the big indoor playroom while Clifford the Big Red Dog TV show was on the little CRT up in the corner....better, simpler times.
I would shave my head just to live in society of tge 1980's ....no crazy drama of socitey, no social media, no texting, people flirted and looked you in the eyes, people spent time together and not on their phones! Love this channel and hang out on this channel just for purely checking out of the year 2023! The women's business attire with the shoulder pads and limp tie bows on the shirt were far from my favorite but i would do it any day if it meant I lived in that cultural time in America! Enjoyed the great commercials! Please keep them coming! Thank you so much!

Weird i'll get pissed & throw a fit if RUclips shoves an ad i can't skip in the middle of a video, but then i'll watch multiple half hour videos of nothing but commercials & stay entertained. Nostalgia goes a long long way.
Never thought one day i would find myself watching just commercials..Oh ..how I missed the 80's...
Just shows how much garbage is on tv nowadays that we revert to watching stuff from the 80,s lol.

Notice those Slim Fast ads don't give any sort of number for how much weight they'll supposedly help you lose in a week.

That Discovery Channel magazine ad at the end .... remember when they actually showed educational programs? Just like TLC, Bravo, and A&E, they've strayed so far from their original content that they might as well change their name to something else.
Commercials from a much better time.. The 80s were the best of times. Young ppl today will never know the joy of an 80s day. Too bad for them.
That's ok. I think my nephew who's 15 is growing up in the here & now making it the best time. I can give you reasons why the 80's are trash. I grew up in the 80's.

Cheers to a time when you would play in real life with your friends and not online in some video game and that’s how we learned about pain and what to do and not to do riding bikes playing tag and other games outside in the sun. Lol.

Man, TV really took care of us back then, it loved us, and nothing was more comforting than being all cuddled up in a warm bed with the TV on. The TV was always right there looking out for me with its wholesome commercials that depicted a bright future. It reminds me of better times when I had friends and family.
The butler in the Lunch Bucket commercial was the dude who played Santa in Ernest Saves Christmas. I'd recognize that voice anywhere.
It's always interesting and comforting to see the world from this perspective since I was still only a baby. While my parents, who migrated from Haiti, we're busting their butts to keep the family fed. Hearing their stories always makes me appreciate their journey and sacrifices. & The American dream could not have been more alive. So seeing these commercials reminds of all of that.
That's awesome that you recognize and appreciate their journey ❤🩹 Same with me, my parents arrived from different countries in the early 80s, and it still amazes me how they adapted to life here after living disadvantaged lives. Sometimes I play these comps in the background so they can reminisce :)

1984-85 were the huge years that most everyone (besides the more well- to do!) got VTR/VCRs. Got all my snarky comments for this one ready now for Friday's live stream!

That's crazy. A lot of the news parts is from the Bay Area and I remember some of them. The San Francisco Bay area was so clean back then. I was still a kid but I remember going to downtown with my mom and everything was just so big and clean. We would go there just to go shopping and eat. Thanks for the memories. I appreciate this channel

In the St. Louis area we had a local 80's & 90's "commercial celebrity" just pass away. "Becky' the Queen of Carpet"
She was always flying on a magic carpet in front of the green screen. Gonna miss those low low discont prices she delivered.

I remember eating 1 Equal straight as a kid out of curiosity. My dad had a stash. It felt like baking soda on the tongue and it tasted slightly bitter then the sweetness came though

I wonder what people back then that were buying the Miser GE light bulbs that saved a measly 5 watts would say in a few years when compact fluorescent came out and only used 13 watts and now when you can get a 60 watt LED equivalent bulb that only uses 9 watts.

I wasn't born in this era, born 97, but it makes me genuinely sad how boring and dull advertisements have gotten in current times.
They're afraid of protests and boycotts now so they have to make them boring so as not to accidentally offend anyone.
