Had to check and unfortunately Clarke’s Charcoal Burger was another victim of da bat bug - closed in March 2020 after 75 years. Always sad to hear a place that lasted that long went out of business even when it isn't near you.

I'm not even a Californian and it's nostalgia to me growing up here in North Carolina. Starting back around '80 we had KTVU 2 and a SoCal channel (can't remember) in our cable-tv line-up that I watched all the time.

Brings back great memories! We had channel KTVU 2 Oakland in our cable tv line-up back in the early 80's, here in NC. Y'all had all the cool commercials like the Merry Go Round ad with Quiet Riot singing in it!! 😎👍

Yes, it was. They started doing that campaign and serving super size fries in the mid 80s. I should know I was an 80s kid.

Bay Area commercials are the best.
It reminds me of home, but I had to leave because it got so bad there. I was born in San Jose and stayed for college and to help my grandparents, but was going crazy; too expensive, too ghetto, dirty and unsafe. Pretty sad, but this timeline shows the good ol' days. Cheers.
@@kennypitts4829 everything you said is true about San Jose, but I'm from Cupertino, right behind where Cal Worthington had Chevrolets on Stevens Creek. The expensive part is still highly accurate tho.

wheres is KRQR? where is kcbs fm with ccr and the doors? any of the ther record releases like senior prom i was able to find 2 of them................of course i keep seeing and i remember these but many that i remember are not there on any postinfgs from kbhk tv and ktvu but still late 7s early 80s
