I am 41 and I could literally overdose on nostalgia. The 90's was the last decade where there was still an innocence to life. They had the best movies, tv, and music. I sometimes sit and just close my eyes and go back to this time on my mind...just immersing myself in all the memories. I cry a lot just yearning for those days that I can never get back. The world is such a 💩show today and I just wish I could be a kid again. Just wanting to relive all those precious times 😢. I thank God for RUclips...one of the only online platforms I really look at. I also have a fondness for the 80's as well. I just love RUclips also because I feel like I can live in a proverbial time warp with movies, tv, and music 😋. But the 90's was my youth so that decade will always hold the most special place in my heart 😃💜

These are so comforting. Probably even more so because this was the time I was beginning to be cognizant of what I saw on TV.

My grandma saw Captain EO with me. She was 87 at the time. She's still doing well.
When watching this era of commercials ironic during this era I absolutely hated commercial breaks fast forward now Iook forward to watching yt uploads of old commercials and to add these make me happy and sad at the same time all my grandparents and loved ones were all alive miss them huge Holiday super gatherings..😊😥 Great upload Dave

There were two things I loved about this video. The first was obviously the commercials that took me back. But, having grown up in the Bay Area, seeing Elaine Corral broadcast the news again was an awesome surprise. Made me feel like a kid again. Thanks for uploading these!!

It's hilarious that all Coke really did with the "Classic" rebrand was go back to formula they were using before the "new" Coke disaster, and they found huge success with it.
23:36 - 24:23 There's probably a name the art style that uses all those colors and shapes like that, but I don't know what it is. I've always liked that sort of thing for some odd reason.
It's a California synth vibe you are thinking of. California in the 80s and 90s was said to be a golden era. Jean jackets, Ray Bans, beaches, bikinis, good music, carefree fun. Now? Not so much, at all.
The Cinemax Movie intro would fall under Memphis style. Look up the Memphis Group, they designed a lot of furniture and then it started spreading into pop art in this era! :3

Matt Frewer, Aka ,Max Headroom. Bill Fagerbakke, Aka, Patrick on Sponge Bob. He was in the second Sprite commercial. Spencer Milligan, Aka, Rick Marshall OG Land of the Lost and Sab Shimono. They were in the Sears commercial, and to top it off, the Cinemax intro. Good times 🤙🤙

Back in that time period, Sprite did a fairly long series of commercials with rappers. The one I really wanted to see as a TV spot, though, with Mack 10, was apparently only a radio ad...

I'm 44. One of my first real jobs out of college triad to sell me on the company based on the fact that they're one of the only companies around that don't require womwn to wear hose. The death of pantyhose is an under-rated moment in women's history. You just didn’t go to weddings, office work, funerals, etc without wearing pantyhose. And they sucked.
Ever heard of EMUvr? I did a video on it, it's basically a customizable room in VR with emulators for video, atari-PS2 era. All with the lables and art you remember, the cool thing is the app replicates the files as actual discs and VHS tapes, you can pick a TV from the 70's-90's. Also once you load in ISO's the game brings the actual console into the room. All in VR or in desktop mode.
You can put any poster you had as a kid on the walls, everything from wallpaper to bedsheets. I used my original TMNT sheets lol. These commericals are perfect for splicing into movies/music videos to play on the VCR in that app. I did this with a Halloween special meant to replicate Halloween 89 back in October.
Hardly got any views and spent days on editing everything, i even added sound effects like kids trick or treating outside the window, and the sounds of those cheesy yet awesome haunted house cassette tapes, setting the room up to match 1989, posters, bedsheets all that stuff but it's extremely nostalgic and so was worth all the time and effort.
I can roll them out every year to try and bump up views, obviously couldn't monetize, they are just a passion project but MAN that app, you have to check it out. I need to make a Christmas one this season. Maybe bump it up to the mid 90's this time.
