Even when losing ohtani still puts up a unhuman performance. His pitcher wasn’t doing much for him, and he had 5 homers at the timeout…somehow managed to get 22 to tie and even had some time to WIN it if he converted on the last few pitches. In thefirst tiebreaker pretty much the same thing happened, probably one of if not the best loss in the home run derby
Can you elaborate on what about the pitcher's pitching was bad? I follow baseball casually so am not familiar with these intricacies.
@@captaingzman5180 not as much as ohtanis
大谷のスイングだと疲労やばそうだから最高の1試合で終えてよかった
Look how many cameraman following Ohtani. 🎉 he didn’t win but he is a champion 😀
Remember, all the talk is about Ohtani this year but let us not forget Juan Soto is a WS champion who played at an MVP level during the 2019 WS! *Also Soto with derby record 520 foot BOMB! He’s unreal!
Yeah but he isn’t the Ace pitcher for his team as well , ohtani does both which is unheard of at this level
@@RickyAceRozay I will take playoff Soto over any man but Barry bonds
Can Soto pitch too? 😉
Ohtani is the man that contributed the most to getting people back into baseball tho. Hes the show. You enjoy watching him pitch and hit cant say that about anyone today...
My gosh dude preach! Ohtani is great but Soto just is such a good athlete! Also, Soto in the playoffs was so clutch, and he was as well in the derby. Ohtani on the other hand couldn’t hit a homer in the first minute. And even when he was close to beating soto, he would just tie it and hit line drives to the imaginary first basemen. Blame his loss on the pitcher or “field being different”, or whatever. Soto performed better that night. He just wanted to win more than Ohtani did. I guarantee if he didn’t have the loyal fans on his side-
*cough cough* simps *cough cough*
Then he for sure would have tried way harder and swung his life away. He just knew that his “fans” would go to the RUclips comment section and say:
“Ohtani is still so good!!! I was ACTUALLY happy that he lost in the first round so he could “save energy” for the all star game! The home run derby OBVIOUSLY doesn’t show who the best home run hitter is!”
Soto wanted it more. Plain and simple. No hate to Ohtani though. Great player with a solid upside. He will definitely help the game over seas in Japan. Thank you for reading my TED Talk.
Otani smiled through the whole derby even though he lost just looked liked a kid having fun doing what he loves and gotta love his interpreter catching for him too from a Bluejays fan otani ,vladdy, trout and tatis are good for baseball
Ohtani’s a gentleman. He proves it on the field
As baseball fans, we are very lucky to have not only these two, but a multitude of amazing young talent to watch in the upcoming years.
