I downloaded and printed the chart, checked my 2016 Dodge Journey RT and found this to be my problem. Then I found MotorCity Mechanic and he has the best videos on replacing the shift solenoid pack. Fixed the problem, Thank you very much
@@victor00mx it is working great. I still need to go to a dealer to get the quick train but it is very drivable on and off the highway, goes through all the gears now.

Good video, friend, a question...My Dodge Journey does not have codes, I put it in gear and it does not move forward or backward if I mark the changes on the dashboard, what could it be?
Thanks brother! Ill suggest u take it to a transmission shop. It could be just that transmission went out.. but u need to get a diagnostic on ur journey. Even though it has no codes,a good mechanic can figure out whats going on.
I have a 2016 Dodge journey SXT and it’s getting stuck on 2nd gear, and after I shut the engine off and wait about ten minutes and turn it back on it starts running good, and then stuck again. Do you think it’s just the solenoid pack that’s not working properly?
excellent video, with lots of very interesting explanations. In your opinion, why does my gearbox, when it reaches more than 80° and when I almost come to a stop, the engagement of first gear is sometimes a little abrupt and sometimes idling is a problem a little unstable. Thank you for your response, it would help me a lot. 130000km
@@larasgarage2021 There are no lights Apart from the engine which could be the cause, what could it be in the gearbox? This is a vehicle that I purchased not long ago. In your opinion, if I replace the oil and filter, could that solve the problem or could it be a relay in the box?
We recently had a new seal and flywheel installed into our 2013 journey SXT, and now it won't even go into any of the gears, what do you think the possible cause could be? You think it could be this solenoid?
@@larasgarage2021 this time when I went to get the codes of the journey, when I put the gear shifter all the down where the + & - symbols are, it showed the number 1 thru 4 then the D popped up, and I could no longer see the 1 thru 4 on the dash, sounded like very low fluid when I started the car up, sounded like it was pushing fluid thru the trans then that sound stopped.
Yeah some of this codes are related with the transmission.... double check for leaks, and make sure there is enough oil on your transmission. I know they don't have a dipstick but u can either have a mechanic who has it or order it from eBay/Amazon. They sell the dipstick and it comes with a chart letting u know the correct level for ur transmission.
Check all connectors as well. There is a big connector under the air filter box....u might need to remove it to work on it. This connector is right in front of the transmission..u can't miss it. I recommend u to use electrical grease just to make sure u having a good contact there.
This procedure lets u know if one or more solenoids are bad. The solenoid pack is like 7 solenoids, I think. Anyway, if one of those is bad, u have to replace the whole solenoid pack. They don't sell them separate as far as I know. This procedure does not let u know about bad wiring, connections etc...with this procedure, u are testing solenoids only. Thanks, and I hope this info help u fix ur car 🙏
@@larasgarage2021 Thank you my friend. for the reply, very much appreciated. My wiring is bad due to rhe heat. I suspect a wire break in the area. Thanks again, will update when the nightmare is over....lol
I have a 2010 3.5 sxt. The transmission seems to have a little play in it. Sounds weird but going from reverse to drive it can make a big "clunk" sound. I've replaced CV axles, bushings, wheel bearings. Just can't figure it out.
Thank you for posting! Was very helpful. I hope to be able to test mine before taking it to a shop that will likely tell me I need the shift solenoid pack based on code 0765, when in reality there are many other things that can cause that code to be thrown. Thanks again!

Do u have a check engine light on ?
If the temperature sensor is reading incorrect temperature on the fluid transmission it can cause issues or hard shifting ...
