    This was very timely as I planned to do one of your yin yoga classes this morning and I’ve been having a lot of pain in my lower back and hips. This helped to relieve some of the pain. Thanks again for all that you do!

    Ok, seriously, you are amazing. I am a professional cleaner and the constant repetitive movements, looking down and bending over take a toll on my body. Lately my lower back has been so tight that I couldn't even do a baby cobra without the pressure and pain being too much. I found your channel this morning as I was looking for ways to help heal my hips and shoulder. I did 5 different videos and found them to be mind blowing and exactly what I needed. But having those areas of my body feel better really made the lower back pain stand out. Then I went and cleaned for 8 hours. So tonight I did this video. I could barely do the noodle thing on my right side, straight legged and was bent over like 2 inches 😂. I appreciated you saying that we didn't have to do it the same on both sides because my left side could do much more. My range of motion was limited as my hips were really painful. I didn't feel anything in my lower back so I was doubtful about how this was going to help my back but it was sure doing something for hips and buttocks. As soon as I finished, immediately the pressure in my lower back was released. Forget about baby cobra, I can do a full range of motion cobra with no pressure or pain. INCREDIBLE. I will not doubt you again. Many thanks.

    Thank you I needed this today! I rearranged my bedroom yesterday and moved some big pieces of furniture and my low back let me know this morning this helped so much!

    8 is a lucky number for Chinese, 88 is doubly lucky!! Congrats on stopping by your lucky 88 on your way to the century mark! I've been dealing with some soreness and injuries, this pushed the threshold a little bit more for me. Thanks Joelle!!

    Amazing yin stretches for the lower back! I did this practice yesterday before work and I just remember thinking how great my lower back felt all day! Great practice for the lower back my felt loose and strong all day :) Moving this one to the top of my favorite playlist to return to a lot!     The deer leg pose: should both hips be on the ground? I can't get both hip bones fully on the ground in normal deer leg pose (is one of the poses I dislike most), so with leaning to the side the hip bone is even further off the ground.

      Hi Katrina, they can absolutely lift! In fact with leaning to the side I'd say most of us will have lifted hips. If it's really uncomfortable or if you prefer to feel the hips grounded, feel free to slide a pillow or block under you and to experiment with different heights. Hope that helps!

    I felt more these poses more intensely in my hips than my back. I know it would impossible for you to know for sure, but do you have any idea if I was maybe just not doing the poses quite right or if maybe my hips just needed a little more attention than my back today? I know this is a pretty subjective question, but any insight would be greatly appreciated! ❤

      Glad you enjoyed it! The hips and the lower back are very intricately linked, so it's not uncommon to feel stretches in one or both areas! So long as the stretch felt good and you feel a little looser by the end of the practice, I'd say you were most likely doing it right for your body 😉
