Yes, it was. There are loads of them around. Wouldn't want to hit one in an aircraft!
Very common invasive species. Had one in my back garden this afternoon (Norfolk).

First one I ever saw was just near the main gate at Mildenhall

Yes. Quite interesting how it all flexes on touchdown
Bear in mind that thing could be up to about 293T on TDZ, if it doesn’t all flex it might just break !
