    This is an awesome video for newbies to the world of shotguns. The way things are right now, some foreign firearm manufacturers (that's right Turkey, I'm looking at you) are releasing new, and funkier looking designs, and getting them imported to the US more and more. The most common of these *are* in fact shotguns, and a new wave of gun owners have chosen to come in swinging for the fences with a multitude of 12ga models. So being unsure about what shells do what, and essentially starting from scratch, videos like these will be invaluable to them! Keep em' comin' big guy 👍🏽

      (When they're in stock) shotgun ammo can be intimidating. There are TONS of options and loads. This just scratched the surface, but as I'm sure you noticed it was a bit wet put that day

    Very good video! Thanks. I think pumpkins were a good choice for displaying shot vs watermelons that most people like to use they typically explode regardless of what you throw at them

    • @GBGuns
      @GBGuns  3 года назад +2

      Thank you. We were out for demonstration, not entertainment. I think that's why most go with watermelons. Those can make just about anything look impressive. We wanted to show the actual projectile effect.

      @@GBGuns I'm glad you did, good job. If I ever make a video I'm using pumpkins. Or actually, any other fruit/vegetables that you have tried that mimic real life.... Uh.. Effects?

    Just found your channel after watching you drink and answer questions with some AK Guy that I've been binge watching. First off I'm glad you were able to show him what good vodka is with the Crater. Secondly now I'll be binge watching your channel as well. Remember if you want to get out of the rain for some shooting there's a few good places over here in the gorge.

    So I’ll be mostly shooting paper targets at a range. Should I stick with smaller pellets for this? I know I can’t use slugs at the range but I’m not sure about buckshot.

    • @GBGuns
      @GBGuns  2 года назад

      If it's just paper and to have a good time the only downfall to bird shot is you'll destroy your targets pretty quickly. Otherwise they're cheaper, more available, and have less recoil.

    in regards to shell length... You used the words smaller and larger/bigger instead of shorter and longer, was this for a certain reason, that seems confusing. To me that would be 20 ga in a 12 ga chamber for example.
    Well done overall, thank you

    How do i tell if i am buying high brass or low brass??

    • @GBGuns
      @GBGuns  7 месяцев назад

      It's usually not labeled, but in general heavier loads and higher velocities will be "high brass". If you can open the box, high brass has appreciably more brass to the cartridge

    Shooting into rocks?

    • @GBGuns
      @GBGuns  3 месяца назад

      Yup, soft lead against hard rocks at distance is fine. We wear eye protection and a hat with a bill, never had anything come back at us. There has been more spall come over the walls at my local shooting range than stuff come back from shooting at the quarry.
