@@mahendran3125 I assume a quarter is wide enough to get into both grooves and allow for turning. I used a small ruler instead.

A real easy fix if the hole is too big, is to find a washer with just the right diameter. It will prevent the peep hole from pulling thru the hole. Also, a quarter works great for tightening them up.

depends on the peephole.. some have a slot and some don't.. some have narrow or wide slots...some are in there so tight that you can't get enough traction with a quarter and you need shell locks.. some will turn in the hole with channel locks... just depends what was installed...and what works

Mine is very tight and turning on both sides, what is the best tool to use to hold the part on the outside? It is tapered and channel locks keep slipping.

NO--- not all stores carry the different sizes. I bought mine on amazon and then found out it was the wrong size. The store did not sell the nice model I was able to find online. I had to go to the store and they only had 1 item that fit

If you cannot take the peep all of the door you do not need to use a screwdriver you can use a very slim 2 pence piece and use it that way it will gently come off the door or something slim that is the right length and thickness that fit in the curves of the peephole you do not need screwed hours if you are not using one
