Still by far my favorite In Flames album. Front to back this album has just that dark eerie feel to it. Not many bands can pull it off like these guys can
To all of you calling them "sellouts" this album is actually really dark. You think its sellout because they scream less well guess what: The heaviest metal doesn't have screaming. The definition of "heavy" is not in the vocal style, it's in the MUSIC. If you could look past the vocals maybe you'd see the dark and heavy atmosphere of the album and stop chewing on your feet. This album has so many dark metaphors throughout each song. Its a really heavy album if you take your head out of your asses long enough to hear it.

I saw these guys at, The Palladium - Worcester, MA with Trivium on 2/17/12. Amazing show. If you get a chance to see these guys DO IT! I'm old compared to alot of the youngsters at 36 but I'm elated to see Metal is alive and well. Metalheads get a bad rep, we need to unite together and show mainstream THEY are the fools. \m/

It's called evolution. Every band worth its salt evolves at one point or another. Granted, if you haven't listened to In Flames for a while you might not have seen it, but every album slowly changes their sound. Personally, I love both the new AND old In Flames. As with everything music-related, it's up to your tastes.
Soundtrack To Your Escape is one of the best albums ever made in my personal opinion. I love In Flames and have been listening to them since Colony and Whoracle and even though their newer stuff isn't as good as Soundtrack To Your Escape they are still great musicians.

Well these two are the best ones I've come by. I don't make opinions without ground, meaning I have listened to many melodic death metal-bands and I'm guessing there's still many out there that I haven't found yet but these two are keeping their number-one places at the moment. Saw these guys with Chimaira during this albums tour, one the best shows I've seen. Sad to see these guys go downhill after Come Clarity meanwhile Chimaira rise ;)
I wish they still played and write songs like this.... As much as I love their older albums... Whoracle to Come clarity, everything after seemed so... empty... I was a big fan.
