I too have that car..same color. It's a fun car. I run it on 2s and have never clocked the speed of it but, I thought it to be getting about 45mph. Subscribed. Happy Rcing from NM. After reading the comments I have to say that I both agree and disagree. I own a few brand of rcs and I like them all...have about twenty in all and not planning to stop collecting. Really liking the 1/18 scale these colder days. 👌
Thank you for watching! Out of all the cars I own, I have to say the mini-Erevo is the fastest & most versatile so far. For that, I have to give it some respect. Unfortunately it loses in the categories of durability and overall value when compared to some of the cheaper RC’s.
I own this car- why on earth they didn't give us a wheelie bar is beyond comprehension !! Did the included CAR charger work for you? Mine did not. Hobby shop said everyone has that problem- another $30 for a Traxxas wall charger! 🙈🤯 Great video‼️👍👍🦾🦾
Thank you for watching. It definitely needed a wheelie bar. As for the charger, mine does seem to be working but sometimes it will not fully charge the battery even when it shows full.
This, among other reasons, is why I don't mess with Traxxas stuff. Like, I made the decision out of practicality as everything I had over 2s used IC5 and I didn't want to invest into their ecosystem where you can only use their batteries or say goodbye to your warranty but the more I learn about them, I keep finding more reasons.
I can’t say I blame you. And here’s the thing….I WANT to like them. They’re obviously pioneers in the hobby. But right now, these cheaper brands are simply delivering better quality for a better price.
@@KentuckyRC exactly, and with how sue happy they have been and actively litigating companies out of existence if they use an idea remotely close to something they've done and scaring folks off from the hobby with their price tags when folks who buy into the marketing think they're all that's worthwhile, they do more harm than good in my view. I started off with WlToys and HBX and have branched out to Team Associated, Arrma, Losi and Kyosho but still appreciate the Hosims, Flyhals, and Rlaarlo of the world and prefer them to others. In fact, the car I want most right now is the ZD Racing MX-07 but it ain't cheap. lol
Do you know of a place where you can trade bread for rc cars? I have an excellent sourdough starter and make awesome bread. This is great, i may have finnaly found a way for me to get an rc car. Watching videos non stop just isnt cutting it any more, but ill keep watching. I realized that watching people run rc on video is very similar to actually running it. Its like fpv vr. Seriously. 🙂
Just ran my mini e revo today on 3s in parallel and got 46mph on stock gearing. Things too fast for me already. My esc is made for 3s though so maybe that makes the difference?
That’s a good run! What ESC are you running? I’ve since learned that the stock gearing will actually give you better speeds. So my run on 3S with the stock gear is actually slow.
@@KentuckyRC still running the vxl esc that came with it. From what I understand there are 3 different esc’s in these mini revos depending on what model you get.
"Speed gearing" is actually a slower ratio ..only faster if using 12cell nimh, gets geared down to keep motor/esc Temps down with the higher voltage Edit: i have had 2 mervs, one is first production, 2nd is the newer release...on 2s, 33/50 is a rocket, 25/50 on 3s is plenty fast and Temps don't get crazy

@@seanwilson9117 That MX-07 looks awesome! I’ll have to save up some bread for that one.

What was up with the servo part way through the video?
Servo went out on this car after just a few speed runs.
