I used one lipo at a time. The Y harness is for the Traxxas light kit in the front and rear bumper. The lights run directly on the lipo that powers the truck. Unfortunately, this light kit is discontinued though.
That's great man The old school Traxxas are all good but it's crazy man how I have a couple of under $100 brushless 1/16 scale RC cars that will blow the revo away. Back quite a few years ago when I had the stampede and the rustler and the bandit VXL...I thought they were fast but man I have a sub $100 brushless 1/16 that will go over 65 mph 🤷... And handles like an absolute champ. Gave you a sub for sure

Those factory tires are holding you back. I can here the imbalance. They are great for the price but a good thing to upgrade. Proline has a few options for the mini revo.
I think it was just the rear end of the truck lifting up when the brakes are applied, which gives the illusion of brake lights. It is a nice light kit that Traxxas makes for the Mini E-Revo though. It comes with replacement front and rear bumpers with 4 holes on each bumper that allows for the lights to be plugged in and a power source.

It should be able to fit. I had to modify the battery compartment where the wires exit to get these Gens Ace batteries to fit. 15-20 min run time on the 3s lipo and 25-30 min runtime on the 2s lipo. The 2s has more capacity, which is why it has a longer runtime. The battery compartment design definitely limits the use of higher capacity 3s lipos.
