The best part about this Touring Stadium Monster truck (yes this is what it is) is that spare parts are everywhere and always available. Everything is upgradable, and everything is affordable.
It is part of the Monster Truck family, even though it’s 1/16 scale. Great little RC, we can’t get parts here in CA we’ve had to order anything it needs.
When I was playing with the 1/16 Suchiyu 16101 pro car, I was laughed at by my three friends. But I told them that we can try to compare speed and jump to see who has more postures will win. After they compared with my 16101 Pro car, they dared not laugh at me anymore, because my car was faster and had more postures than their 1/10 cars... I told my friends that it doesn't matter what car they play, as long as it can bring them happiness and stress relief.. I only have 9 cars, HSP94111 pro, Kraton 4s, Outcast 4s, Senton 3s, 144010 buggy, 16101 pro, 16103 pro, Q130 pro and vorteks.. The 1/14 to 1/16 cars are what I like to play with more and are convenient to take out and can train my feel... I wish you good health, success in everything, peace and success in your career...💪Come on, brother..
@@redbanditracing Yes, that's what I think... Because no matter how expensive a car is, if it can't bring us happiness and stress relief, then it's meaningless... I think I purchased mine towards the end of 2013. VXL version. One of my favorite little cars. Also you can run 2x 2s packs in parallel. Doubles the run time and doesn’t kill the esc. That was my main way of running it. But a single 3s is way more fun.
Center diff is the best upgrade, way more controllable. Also HR axle carriers are a must. HR bulkhead solves a lot of pinion issues but I didn't think of the aluminum skid plates, that's a simpler fix :)
There isn’t an issue. By definition in parallel means the power delivered the the esc is exactly the same as a single battery. It just means double capacity. Really basic electronics
@@redbanditracingI've been running parallel 2s lipos in 2 mini erevos for over 5 years - there's never been an issue. I also don't understand why you would think running it in parallel would damage the ESC. It's no different than running a larger capacity battery.
I do love my merv it’s one of my go to when I don’t wanna load up a bunch of shit but recently I can’t lie I’ve been grabbing my arrma typhon 3 s hope the new bandit will remedy that lol
when i had mine back in 2013 - 2015 RPM made metal drive shifts, i remember becuase i spent around £500 putting all metal swing arms the full 9 yards becuase i used to brake it all the time, and when i put all metal everything in, it made it so much easier in the bends & it felt to planted with the extra weight, dam i wish i never sold it :(
Is it possible to add one 2s 2200 lipo batteries of e review along side with its stock battery with a parallel connector for longer run time? Or it will do damages to car?
I just got a wheelie bar and for my merv today and I now can’t fit my rear aluminum skid off and I’m worried now I’ll strip my rear diff over time so I’ll just take it off after every use I won’t plug a 3s in unless I have both upgraded skid plates on but 2s this thing is pretty good so I’ll run it on that
Got a warning from Amazon to discard my 2018 e-Revo VXL because the brakes have an extremely toxic material and the risk for lung cancer is extremely high. I'm worried, sad and angry!

That’s awesome, and you are 💯 correct. Which ever car makes you happy is the right one.

Is the lipo battery just plug & play or will I need to get anything else to make it work?
Thanks much!
@@opensourceanglers8291it’s plug and play, you just need to make sure your esc is in lipo mode or you will over discharge your battery.
Does your wheelie bar still fit with the rear skid plate?
Yes, we just left it off after installing LED kit.

Aluminum skid plates are a lot cheaper also.
@@redbanditracing GPM skid plates?
Seems like there’s small issues, still a nice 1/16 model
Looking forward to the telemetry video.
Erevo brushed vs arma groms. I think that would be a great comparison video based on size and maybe price
I been looking or a vid on battery’s for ages thanks for the vid mate
Anything you’re needing help with let us know, we can make a video if needed.
Thanks for the review sir!
How is it that running 2 lipos in parallel an issue for the esc? Doesnt that inly increase the run time?
There’s a limit for the ESC
There isn’t an issue. By definition in parallel means the power delivered the the esc is exactly the same as a single battery. It just means double capacity. Really basic electronics
That’s great, let us know how it works out.

I think the biggest upgrade for the Merv would be changing to the trenchers, they give it a little more height/width and ridiculous amount of grip
Cantilever was revo 2.5 in like 2008
It’s been around for awhile
Whats the difference between 1/16 evo snd 1/16 evo vxl ?
Just Brushless? Doesn’t seem to be with the extra 100$ .
The key differences are TSM and the brushless motor.
Is it possible to add one 2s 2200 lipo batteries of e review along side with its stock battery with a parallel connector for longer run time? Or it will do damages to car?
You can run dual LiPos BUT you may burn out the ESC. It is not recommended
Hot racing makes nice metal dog bone drive shafts. They are expensive but worth it and awesome looking Hot racing svxs288xdo2

i have 2 but feels like you have to spend alot on upgrades to make it as durable as other cars in the same size like the mjx cars or groms
Bandit vs mini revo
Merv the perv. I have the EREVO 2.0 and it would be nice to have the mini as well
it came out 2014 or 2013

There are no physical brakes
@@redbanditracing you are right, it's the clutch pads, not brakes 👍
